Tigers are usually slow like this but what ever they get in there mouth is coming off. She did exactly what she needed to do. Specially watch her keep looking for the second shark. Its just a matter of time, kiddo. I've lost two friends to sharks, one to a Bull and the other to a Tiger. Both were certified Dive Masters. One friend was killed while filming a documentary in Australia that never aired. He was taken by an 18 foot Tiger. The second friend was killed in Hawaii by a Bull Shark in 3.5 feet of water. The video footage of my friend's death from the Tiger revealed that he was doing the same thing with the shark that's being done in this video. The shark would come in and at the last minute, my friend guided the shark's head away with his hand. This happened three times and on the third, it took the shark less than 1.4 seconds to put my friend's head, left shoulder, left arm and 2/3 of his torso in its mouth. This was established from the dive footage. From start to finish, the shark bit my friend in half in less than 4 seconds and the shark came back looking for the rest. There's no future in this for you. Its just a matter of time. If you have people in your life who love you, please stop for their sakes.

I have a cousin who's a Ichthiologist ( Studies Sharks , Ray's and other types of sea life ) and she and I were discussing this lady and her interactions with Sharks . And she said this lady seems to know what she's doing and doesn't understand that these Sharks don't care about KZfaq, subscribers or view count. And it's only a matter of time before she becomes a victim of a attack. Especially when she's in deep water focusing her attention to a individual shark. It's the Shark she won't see coming that's going to be the problem. And with more than 1 individual around it creates a sense of urgency to predate before the competition gets away with the prey. Shes not at a petting zoo

I’m no marine biologist but I’m pretty sure one of the best methods to avoid sharks attacking you is to not get in the fucking water when there’s sharks there! Common sense should prevail!

Irony of these comments... Bulk of them are about fleeing, running, and essentially panicking... Which is what causes Sharks to Frenzy... And when they frenzy they attack/eat you. This proving why this lady is alive and well and so many people end up dead or wounded by sharks. It's hard but staying calm is the key to surviving these encounters. Additionally, it has been proven that sharks will do curiosity bumps that will lead to a bite if they are not "redirected" (as she says) or deterred in a calm manner. If the sharks WANTED to attack (IE: frenzy) there's nothing that any human can do. They move too fast and are too strong. Much like dealing with bees and wasps. Quick motions, actions, and anything that draws attention will lead to a bad time.

I sincerely believe this woman is lucky and is pushing her luck more and more every time she enters the water with them. She swims with tiger sharks quite frequently but judging by the one shark's behavior, the law of probability says she will not be able to redirect or deter the shark/s from acting on their nature one day. These are wild animals!, and some of the oceans most feared predators!, not her friends!

One basic thing I learned diving with sharks or even just snorkeling with them is that if a shark takes an interest in you, you get the hell out of the water. If a shark comes up to you once but then moves on, that's okay, they were just curious but after their first peak they just leave you. If a shark comes back to you a second time that means it made you its main point of focus and you need to get the heck put of there.
