Thanks for all the Train catches tonight VR. I notice that the Pavements at La Grange are making some, progress. As well as the Loco Horn, the Shopfronts at Sweetwater made me think of Norman Rockwell's classic 'Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas'. The two Bears reminded me of the 'Banana Splits' TV show.

Another great GB no that does not stand for Great Britain where I am at the mo (!most of the time in fact) another great collection found the Russellville sequence most amusing with that motley collection of car names "Island Ferry" "Katherine" "Please close and lock doors before moving cars" and the teddy bear! Liked the helicopter thought of the Thomas the Tank Engine story with Harold the helicopter was waiting for Percy the small engine to appear! 😀

Hmm...That Flight Care helicopter that came in for a landing in Fort Madison, Iowa...I wonder if that was Ascension St. Mary's from here in Saginaw, though I doubt it would have the fuel to make that long a journey, especially across state lines for a MEDIVAC. I only ask as I recognize the fuselage and paintwork as I've seen mine before and it looked identical to that one.

BNSF 1119 has a Leslie horn 3:38 NS 4550 is an AC44C6M, which is a dash 9 rebuilt with AC traction motors, 9926 is a C40-9W still with DC traction motors, and 3957 is a C44-9W that was built for BNSF, sold to KCS who put their logos on it, and then sold to NS who blacked out the KCS markings 3:56 lots of flatcars for carrying switch sections 5:08 I've never seen an ElastoFlo hopper before 5:44 CSX 1973 as mid-train DPU in La Grange 6:38 NS 1073 as DPU 6:53 a Canadian Pacific AC44CW and Norfolk Southern SD40-2 moving through Roanoke Yard without any cars 7:12 NS 3981 was CEFX 1011, and I cannot find any info on the faded lettering on the side 7:47 boxcar door left open 8:00 giant heavy-duty flatbed with load on the end of a mixed freight, along with a caboose! 8:48 car crash in Oklahoma City 9:38 CP Rail hopper being used as a barrier car with one of BNSF's barrier hoppers 10:33 NS welded rail train 11:14 Amtrak 100 "Midnight" leading the Lake Shore Limited in both directions 11:47 giant piece of GE machinery being moved in its own train 12:16 helicopter landing at the replica Fort Madison. The original would've been where the tracks are a few yards east 13:34 slightly worn-out horn on this solo leader SD70ACe 14:14 old Sea Land well cars with the end braces same private cars from earlier on the Lake Shore Limited at 14:25, along with an NS train of all new covered hoppers 15:44 Metra 514, the newest SD70MACH to be rebuilt 16:01 CSX 1850 leading 16:23 tarpaulined NREX locos. Maybe they're export units 16:34 CSX bay window caboose being used as a platform riding car 16:50 BNSF GEVO and ex-BNSF dash 9 now owned by NS as mid-train DPUs 16:56 NS 1073 again 17:27 CSX MP15DC and a tanker on a flatbed

Always fun to see the Katy and Operation Lifesaver, and I love the working model set-up in Decatur. But help, please: Why will hammering on an Elasto-Flo car contaminate the product? I looked up what products they make but am still mystified. Thanks in advance!

Interior of car has a polymer lining to help protect cargo while in transit and hammering on car side (to supposedly aid unloading process) could cause lining material to break/flake off contaminating the product and compromising the cars product protection.

Not a fire. That’s an automated inspection boxcar that CSX has been trialing. Think a Sperry car you can pull on any freight train.

The red glow is a laser sensor. These CSX inspection boxcar conversions will be blue painted clearly marked " Do Not Hump" and will be just behind the locos.
