Weird lil film I made for Cinema, Animation, and Art class. Wanted to confront the fact I [have been] very much obsessed with drinking energy drinks for the longest time + have been collecting the tabs for years and years.. making this video cured me of this addiction but re-watching it makes me want another one.

You know, back in 2002---when sodas were still sold in schools---my grandpa had me collect those kinds of tabs so he could turn them in to the salvation army for recycling. Apparently, they were made of a different metal than the can itself, so I collected them for a good while. One day, I came home with _literally my entire pocket full of tabs._ I vaguely remember there being at least a hundred. My grandpa was so surprised and it filled up the glass jar he had in the kitchen. The next day, it was empty after he turned them all in. And though I didn't know it at the time, my grandpa was likely teaching me what it was essentially like to scavenge for scrap metal during the great depression so very, very long ago.

My grandmother was like that with wrapping paper. She would carefully open all her gifts and save the paper because of her time during the depression.

Respect to your grandad, from an outsider's view of what you described, your Grandad was trying to teach you about life to the best of his abilities, based on what he had to go through to get where he was. He must've been a wise man.

@@mateuszkubas4433 Thank you very much for saying that. He's gone through so much and is still here, thankfully. He turned 97 recently, by the way. Hopefully he'll continue to be around for a good while longer.

How very strange… Today’s the first time in forever I’ve seen a colored Monster tab. I live in Canada and regardless of promotions or not it feels like for the past 2 years the cans have had no colored tabs, I thought they switched them to silver ones. I grab an ultra paradise today and all the cans in the coolers have black and colored tabs again lol. And then this shows up in my reccomended. Lol how coincidentaaaal…

Not only are there colored tabs, but at one point, the Monster tabs used to have a hole punch in them in the shape of an M (around 2005 or 2006). But they were stabbing people's fingers, (mine included) when they would reach their finger under the tab.

So... I'm trying to read symbolism into. The original description goes, which of the two wolves wins depends on which one you feed. ...This one eats a whole can of energy drink at once, and doesn't immediately seem influenced but both wolves collect tabs in a giant pile in the basement. What are the tabs that have the atom symbol ? I've never seen a can or energy drink with those before so I have no idea what the drink is and they look really cool .
