I get ya. I was jubilant after a year of carnivore and was going great. Then I had periodontal surgery and went off plan to eat soft foods. Eggs and cottage cheese only goes so far. And now it's hard getting back on track. 20lbs up. But that's not the worst. Carnivore does a lot of things. Healing things. Carbs do a lot of things. Inflaming , damaging things. But, now I'm healed and it's time to get straight again.

I get stressed and I drink coffee and of course I need to put as much heavy cream as possible in it so it feels like a desert! Then it causes more stress and then I do it again . My moderation skills are like on one hand amazing on the other hand nonexistent it feels like. Hard is not the same as bad I will keep pressing on.

What I have found out after 67 months of doing about 95% Carnivore.... then going off for a month.... It does not work... For myself, at least, I must be 100% Carnivore without any cheating, no dairy at all, and mostly ruminant meats, and no coffee... Otherwise it doesn't work for me... I went off for the month of June after five and a half years, and I went back to some vegetables and fruits... I got very, very sick for a whole week... so now I am back to strict 100% Carnivore. I want to be healthy, not sick... no matter how good strawberries, grapes, corn on the cobb tastes, now it just makes me very very sick... That's me... I think I have finally learned... I need to be perfectly Carnivore... no cheating...

Yes, I am so happy now to be on strict Carnivore and it was not easy to get through the Coffee withdrawals with terrible headaches, but I did it. Dude! Thank god for you Wether you do a video a week or a video a month it doesn't matter, your're an inspiration and most people trying carnivore are struggling with how to go about it, me included I fluctuate from 81kg to 90kg and I'm struggling to get it right, probably the drinking and eating the occasional crap isn't helping, but people like you who are real are the people we enjoy and admire your honesty, so what ever you do don't give up. Remember your dreams. What ever they are.

I lost over 30 lbs eating Carnivore and have gained back 8 lbs. Seems like carbs cause inflammation and that causes water retention and joint pain for me. It's a struggle because I'm addicted to carbs and sugar and I hate the hold it has over me so I can really relate to what you're saying here. I wish you much success and appreciate your encouragement and dedication. Life is exhausting sometimes. As for your wife's skin condition, I have problems with that too and have learned that there are naturally occurring toxins in vegetables. Thanks and God bless.

I am intolerant to dairy and sugar…I can’t process fiber or grains…I remember the pre-carnivore days and even though I was suffering from consuming the foods that I don’t now…sometimes I miss the flavor…I tried a few foods from the past, and all I got was intestinal blockage which is the food in the stomach was processing so slowly that food was backed up in the system…I stopped consuming food for about 20 hours, prayed about what the condition I was experiencing and asked GOD to help me to remember that non-meat will not work for my body and that I need to return to strict carnivore…it is a tad boring however, I feel my best when I consume beef and eggs…so I returned to strict carnivore 20 days ago,,,in January I start my 6th year of Carnivore…you can do it too…just pray and ask GOD for help…daily or hourly if needed…HE is there for you!! I have found that you can cook beef and then freeze the cooked beef making it convenient to consume quickly if need be. Praying for you to succeed and that your life gets back to being easier.

Do you drink coffee? Coffee makes me hungry. I drink it black, but for some reason it will increase my hunger, so I would drink more of it to stop the hunger. Great logic. I, finally, after years and years of drinking it, decided to get off of it. I tapered off of the caffeine. I started off 2/3 caff, to 1/2 caff, then 1/3 caff and decaf. Once on decaf only, it took my body a solid month to get over dragging and tired all the time, but I pushed through. Wow! I feel so much better and I can't believe that I'm saying that. I, truly, felt like an addict. Now, I can drink decaf and it doesn't make me hungry. I'm calmer and didn't realize that I wasn't calm. LOL. I, also, buy good quality coffee grounds. And an odd thing happen after quitting caffeine is my craving for cheeses diminished. Weird. Trust me, I love cheese... the more the merrier. Praying your wife gets her skin issues under control. Thanks for letting us know because I never heard of nickel in foods. I looked it up. Interesting. Also, praying for you to have a blessed July.

Of course nickel. It is a natural element on the periodic table. Sure people always think about iron, copper, boron, zinc, mercury (even in steak if the cows live near the ocean)... Just as meats, seafood, fruits, veggies, grains have manganese, molybdenum, even sodium (people just don't think of it as a metal). Pure sodium will kill us (explodes in water), yet we need it. How cool is that. We also get our potassium, calcium, chloride, magnesium, iodine (needed by every cell) from foods. When google searching, many food do not list 100% of all their natural ingredients. For example Eggs. Eggs have something like 75 ingredients. Yet we call these a natural whole food. Eggs from different chickens or different birds will have different values. Duck eggs have different amounts of ingredients than Chicken eggs. All fun stuff to investigate.

Sometimes just staying steady is hard. We feel good when we are making progress, but sometimes coping with difficult situations is easier than staying steady. I think we often need to cut ourselves a bit of slack when we are in that middle ground. We don't always have to be making progress. I hope your wife manages to find a path through her health problems, we have a similar situation in my family (different health issues).

I went more hard core and stopped eating anything except beef, bacon, butter, sour cream (keeping the cream lower than previously) and sometimes shrimp or chicken. I've done this for 4 months now. At almost 62, I and down to 215 from 224. I'm 6'1". I lost that weight over a month by reducing the sour cream but added more butter. I don't miss carbs at all. I sprint occasionally but my hips need time to heal when I do. I hardly go to the gym these days because I've been so busy, but the weight is slowly coming off and it's noticeable. Goal weight is 190-200. That is what I weighed after basic training in 1982.

Always sad to see and hear about bad experiences with the "medical system". Why go? Why use the system? Why take your car to a bad mechanic? Work outside the system my friend. I love my raw milk. Actual stress alone is not able to create excess energy input. Stress changes are habits and then we add the excess food. When doing some studies in prisons, when we controlled the food input but increased the stress with fear of pain and death, the prisoners always lost weight from increased heart rates, emotional stress and hormones like cortisol through the roof. Even if the "nice" US prisons, look how many guys eat ramen noodles, bread, milk, tuna fish,....yet come out ripped and jacked with increased strength and endurance. Life is stressful in prison. Just visiting was stressful. Same with Marine boot camp. They guys eat like crap, junk food in the military, but all come out leaner, fitter, stronger than when they went in. When we put older women with high cortisol, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and hypothyroid ("supposedly ladies that claim slow metabolism"), through our rehabilitation / addiction boot camp, they all get healthier, body lose fat, and gain muscle. The key, is the controlled environment, habits, consistency over time even while eating a wide variety of whole foods. In the real world, they are their own control. Just fun things to think about.

@@MinimalistCarnivore really sorry to about all those problems and issues. Unfortunately the only solution is private care and cash. No insurance companies, no government or health care systems involved. Expensive but the only way around the system. A couple of years ago I was taking care of a lady in Belize. Sister of a very powerful narco from Panama. We had two doctors and two nurses assigned 24/7. Took 6 months and $762,000 usd. (Cash in the form of bit coin) Of course that has to cover location, 4 bodyguards 24/7, food for everyone, wages and medical supplies. However, the lady is now well and doing great. If anyone would have failed to do their job, no one would have lived. That's how the system should work. Everyone is compensated based on results....good results = $$$, bad results equals bad consequences. Here in Colombia, you screw up, the wrong patient dies, someone is going to take out your entire family. The US relies on a system of lawsuits. Total BS. Only the lawyers get rich. But hey, that's for another channel jejeje. God bless

Duck food? Ducks are natural carnivores. They prefer fish, bugs, worms, frogs,....meat : ) Yes, they will eat other things, like when people feed them grain / bread, but not their preferred food. Just like chickens, prefer organ meats, ants, bugs,.... over the grain. Right, diet only part of the equation.

It definitely helps mentally and physically to feel better, but weight loss - no. Plus, I am not willing to give up cream/dairy all together. Not worth it. We have to live! Don't use weight. Use the mirror & Use measurements. Muscle mass adds weight and increased bone density adds weight, natural "good" inflammation from exercise will cause water retention. I have a patient that is 3 yrs carnivore. He is 3lbs heavier today than 3 years ago. However, he has added 3" to thigh measurement, 2" on arm diameter (around bicep / triceps), 5" off waist, ....if only using the scale, he failed but his strength is up, health improved, blood markers improved,..... Carnivore should not be used as weight loss. As a side note, when a strict carnivore diet fails for some patients, (for one reason or another, there are many reasons), then we keep protein the same, but drop fat % and add in some whole food carbs, very specific fruits like watermelon & veggies like cucumbers, celery carrots, some fermented items - no grains) and only for patents without gut issues, next we add in more seafood and fish like salmon to help round out the nutritional profile. Seafood and fish are awesome unless there is a shellfish allergy. Most civilizations expanded around the water and oceans. So far, all have responded very well. No one size fits all. Not everyone responds well to strict steak and water.

Please read this I'm going to keep writing these cuz I hope I get your attention but I promise this is the last one, sure the cream and the cheese have fat heavy high fat and in it and that is the problem. You should not be worrying about what you eat if your meat was leaner. You've got to realize this or you'll always struggle it should not be this difficult on a carnivore diet You should not be gaining weight but the meat is way too fatty. I know this goes against everything we've learned but trust me this is the problem I've witnessed this myself. This is the number one issue that people have on the carnivore diet that can't lose weight and it's because our community pushes fatty meats way too much. You just can't eat as much when it's 9 calories per gram of fat. Your body just doesn't know. Switch out fatty meats for leaner cuts throwing vegetables and fruit in your home free

I can't believe how many carnivore influencers have fallen off the wagon in the past few months. Look at intentional carnivore for example. I'm telling you the reason why and I started to see it myself is this diet is not sustainable for life. I look back now and find I was sort of miserable from a social perspective. Just throw in some fruit. Eat nothing with fat and carbs combined is the key. You want carbs eat them but they can't have any fat in it. Allow yourself that free yogurt. Allow yourself some vegetables. My weight has went down again right back to my goal and I've never been happier or has it never been easier. Even yogurt ice creams okay If it has 0 fat. You've got to live your life. I'm all for the carnivore diet to heal things but to live a sustainable life you need to find something that works everyday forever

I got down to my goal weight of 175 on carnivore for two years but I've given it up a few months ago. Here's the thing it is not a weight loss diet. I wish people would stop saying this or thinking this. If you want to lose weight which sounds like an issue then eliminate the fatty meats. Or at least do that half the time. This is the message that is wrong by the carnivore community. You can eat meat but make half your meals turkey, leaner ground beef, fish, eliminate bacon and ribeye as these meats are just too fatty andn your calories go way too high. Trade some of those fatty meats in for some vegetables. You will lose weight fast. I have been able to maintain effortlessly my 175 and I was struggling on carnivore slowly creeping up like you did because the fatty meats make it way too difficult. You have to find something you're going to do the rest of your life. Do meet vegetables and fruit and when you eat meat make it a leaner cut. It's the easiest diet I've ever been on. I throw on yogurt as well fat-free Greek. It's the fat grams that are getting you my friend

true for many. agree for a wide range of people. Always the exceptions that must stay strict carnivore to heal or cure and issue. However, the majority do better living in the real world when eating a few whole foods. Not because they need the carbs or the fiber, but just because they are real people living in a real crazy world and trying to live a normal life. Life happens. Flexibility to deal with it is key. Everyone slightly different, everyone fighting different issues, everyone broken in a different way. All things must be considered. As always, person by person, case by case.

@@chrissparks7384 all good things have limits. Fat is awesome (meats, butter, olive oil cold pressed extra virgin, avocados, macadamia nuts). This is the part also carnivores get wrong myself included before, carbs do not make you fat it's carbs mixed with fat. It's the fat that's making you fat when mixed with carbs. Find a carb source that doesn't have fat and you can pretty much eat it as long as it's not a processed food meaning fruits and vegetables and you're not going to get fat. This is ridiculous way to think. Sure carbs are a problem when you mix them with things that have fat in them. Do not deny yourself this is the problem you'll never be able to sustain this my friend. You should be able to eat some fruits and vegetables with leaner meats. Try it for 2 months I guarantee you you'll be happier and your weight will go down. Eliminate the revise the bacon and the fatty meats and in turn replace them with fruit vegetables and leaner meats fish. You've got a bigger variety and you'll get a higher volume of food. You shouldn't even have to count your calories and you wouldn't have to if you ate clean
