Nice work. I make knives and I am going to use this method for my etching stencil to put my logo on. It looks way simpler than using nail polish or tape as a stencil. Tape adhesive discolors the metal.

by the allmighty power of google images but be really obvious and specific with what your looking for in this example 'tiger' would be a poor search for something close to the image you're looking for in this case 'tiger face' would be a big improvement but you could get better by filtering out some unwanted results 'tiger face close up' would be your best option being sure to leave out any commas or full stops - just search 'smart' and spoon feed google all the detail you need, hope this helps

use white paper. if you use black paper you need to add like three coats of paint instead of just putting on 1 coat for white paper.

I have a Zing that will do all the cutting for me. Got it cheap as it was a referb too. :D Also you can use a stencil burner or just hop down to the local vinyl shop and have them cut it out for you. :)

Very cool thank you. I suppose you cut out the black parts instead, and stencil the image on lighter colored paper, or not?

Anybodies recommendation on what type of material to use to make a stencil out of? I will be using it primarily for spray painting. I use poster board now and its only usually good for 2 or 3 paintings before it has soaked up too much paint and starts warping on the edges.
