To save money on the Gas station in Italy, go to the "self service" part always. There are 2 parts of pumps, "servito" and "self service". Servito means that someone serves you fuel and that cost up to 10cents more than "self".

The Amalfi coast is really a beautiff place to ride a motorcycle. A Belgian group Hooverphonic once wrote a song about it, "Amalfi". Listening to it might evoke fond memories. 😉😀

I'm (hopefully) going to be in Italy in less than four weeks, with my motorcycle, the Vulcan Mother, hopefully waiting for me in a central customs warehouse hub in Milan. She's already on her way by truck and then ship, and my heart is pounding. You are now in a very exclusive pantheon of riders who've inspired me. Ride on.

You must be so excited, being so close to home and the completion of your mission. I can only imagine your withdrawal after being on the road so long. My wife and I were on the road 5 weeks, last summer. It was nice to get home, but after about a week, we were dying to hit the road again. Oh, and like you two, we got married while we were away. Both our spouses passed away several years ago, we met some time ago and finally decided to put a ring on it. 😊

Amalfi coast is one of our favourite places on earth, I proposed my co-rider too 6 years ago (and now we're expecting our second bambino) :) Enjoy Italy to the fullest and if you are there, try the Pizzeria Sorbillo, they make the most delicious pizza on earth! (my wife spent 5 months living in Napoli so she's probably right ;)

I'm just here for the Italian phrases as I'm going to a Murder Mystery night tomorrow and have to play the role of an Italian vineyard owner who may have killed his brother. 😂 That looks stunning there along the Amalfi Coast! Absolutely gorgeous! From the sea, to the mountains, to the winding tight road through the unique villages, it's like something out of a James Bond film! I loved the drone footage! Magical! My partner is sick of me yelling V-Strom every time I pass one! 🤣🤣 Oh! How awesome that you are visiting Pompeii! I'd love to visit! Bucket list stuff! Happy and alive! Unlike the residents of Pompeii back in the day. OMG, did I just say that? 🤪

Ferries always used to bother me years ago, I always worried about what was going on down on the vehicle deck, worried that my Motorbike would be upright, it took a good few journeys for that worry to dissipate. I never made ot as far as Italy, parcels only to France 🇫🇷 and 1 in Germany 🇩🇪 Price of fuel is crazy, Italian fuel is like race fuel 😅 Cant wait to see Pompeii! Those old enough to remember and those into prog rock will know about Pink Floyd playing at Pompeii. Your on the home stretch for sure 🎉 Stay safe! 'Bikers nod with the European Bikers leg out'

Please be careful when walking between a truck and a wall. (if that truck pulled out to the left), you would have been in his blind spot, the trailer box would have swung around and pinned you between the box and the wall. ( always walk in the driver view) ( I'm an over the road truck driver) that scared the SH*T out of me watching you do that.
