These are prehistoric hut circles that exist just near the South Stack lighthouse in Holyhead, which are otherwise known as the Ty Mawr Hut Circles, or Cytiau'r Gwyddelod, which means Irishmen's Huts due to the belief that before Roman times, Irish people may have settled here who had crossed the Irish Sea to Wales.
They are dated back to 200BC
The view is astonishing, and further up Holyhead 'Mountain', there's a further settlement, and you can understand why they settled here when you see the view. Intruders would be seen for miles.
It's absolutely beautiful.
