Күн бұрынToday we dive into legendary English musician & actor Sting. "Russians" is the fourth single from his debut solo album THE DREAM of the BLUE TURTLES, released in June 1985. The tune is a commentary and plea that criticisms the Cold War doctrine between the United States and the then existing Soviet Union.

He wasn't ahead of his time in this, in 80's was totally possible a nuclear war. We almost dead a november 9.

This song really caught the vibe & tension of 1985 when the Cold War was a hot topic at the time & this song really hit home

Christopher Nolan has said in an interview this song was the kernel of the idea for his 2023 film Oppenheimer. Particularly the line "How can I save my little boy, from Oppenheimer's deadly toy?" of course.

For some reason the UK media never liked Sting. It was really his fan base was so big they couldnt ignore him. I managed to see him live he was fantastic. How about some Peter Gabriel World live.
