In Germany, we call somebody like him a german oak. Takes it right to the jaw. Shrugs it off. Small moment of reconsideration, then just skates to the bench casually. Does anybody have information if he suffered any injuries? Btw: I love this kid. We've had a couple of good defenders, remember the Seidenbergs for example, but he is by far the biggest talent we have ever had as a defender. He will give the NHL more than decade of pure defensive skill, I'll make a bet he will win a Stanley Cup one day. He will be one of the greatest, mark my words.

Respect!!!- Die Hard Wings Fan! Really hope Bert fits in and does well with the Bruins. Crazy how much my team has changed these past years, Larkin literally lived a few miles from me growing up, we played at Lakeland Ice Arena here in Waterford (im almost 10 years older than him so never played together) but it’s nice to see a Wing get to wear that C and knowing he came from my hometown! I don’t care about playoffs right now, I was alive for the 25 year streak it started the year I was born (90) and I got to watch them win 4 Cups (yes I was 7 and 8 when they won those back to backs and i watched every single game) and then we had possibly the most stacked team in NHL history in 02’ and then won again in 08’ and almost repeated the back to backs, we took the penguins to game 7 and if you watch the last minute of game 7 that year you know how much pressure the wings put on the penguins defense and almost tied it up, but respect to them even though I still can’t stand Crosby I definitely respect him. And this rant got pointless because im out of it after a long work shift tonight but man, we had it made here in Michigan and any Wings fan in any state or country, Im just glad that I can recognize what we had, and it helped turn Hockey into a passion for me even though i started playing at 3-4 yrs old. Played for 16 years before i had to give it up and realize I was going to be too short for the new NHL. 5’8 isn’t doing much these days lol. But it’s still my passion. Love your channel homie please keep it going. I’ve thought about making a hockey breakdown type of channel before and now that I have the setup for it, I might give it a shot and I would start by taking notes from you, thats forsure.

Go Lakeland! Yaktown boy here and same, but a little older. I grew up in the 90s and watched Yzerman, Federov, Lidstrom, and all the other greats (including the STACKED '02 team which had like a dozen of the NHL's 100 greatest players on it) I agree. I wish Berts the best in Boston...buuuuuttt if he decides he doesn't want to re-sign there and wants to come back next year, I won't blame Yzerman for taking him back :D helluva teammate! And Larks deserves every bit of that 70M 8 year contract. I think he's one of the most underrated players in the league and just because he plays for a team in rebuild. And the kid gets better every year! He has a laser for a shot, especially off the 1T. He's obviously one of the fastest skaters in the league, perfect for the centerman position because he's in great shape too. He plays through injury and has grit even though he's not going to rack up a ton of PIM. And his 2 way game has gotten better each year. I was actually at the game against NJ last year when he scored his first hatty - boy was it a beaut! And everyone was like "that was his first?" because he plays so well and flies under the radar. Best line in recent years? A HEALTHY Raymond, Larkin, Bertuzzi line. Had these 3 stayed healthy all year, we'd be in a wildcard spot for sure.

Also, i don't think many know that these pucks are frozen in a freezer in the penalty boxes during games. Frozen pucks are faster on the ice as they don't provide as much resistance due to temperature differences. So that puck was frozen when it hit the player in the face

I give credit to this Bruins team. As a lifelong Detroit fan and not a huge fan of Boston, I can't stand the Black and Gold. Nevertheless since Marchand has traded in his antics for his potential and since Patrice Bergeron (ultimate leader) and guys like Pasta are leading this club, you can't help but respect the hell out of them. Now they've got Berts too? Here's a guy (whom I knew at the beginning of the season, before the 2 broken hands and the horrible slump due to injury, would be traded) who gives his all every night...well as long as he can travel. Covid joke aside, Berts deserves to be on a championship team if he can't be here in the D and Boston looks like a juggernaut. The East is going to be very interesting this year with Boston back on top, Pittsburgh waking up during the 2nd half of the season as usual, New Jersey showing beauty before age, and stacked teams like the Rangers with the addition of Kaner and some others (people sleep on 2 things - 1) Panarin was Kaners linemate back when Chicago was good last and 2) Panarin won the Calder OVER CONNOR MCDAVID - an albeit injured, 1st year McDavid). NY if they play their cards right could also be hoisting a cup in June. We'll see how it shapes up but alas, the record breaking Boston is the team to beat.
