Yes, in the US one has free access to filthy toilets, without toilet paper, with walls covered in sexual messaging, with minimal privacy, and often without well-kitted handicapped facilities. In Europe one pays €1 for clean, fresh-smelling, places with enclosed, secure stalls, and with alarms/hoists/automated handicapped facilities, and baby-changing tables in both male and female toilets.

You do NOT have to pay in restaurants and cafes when you’re a customer. The coffee shop I go to does NOT have to pay for tap water. The things described in the video do NOT apply to every European country.

When I was a kid, in the 1970's there was a major recycling culture going on. Milk deliveries in glass bottles to your doorstep and empty bottles were left for the milkman to take back. Also, fizzy drink bottles (Sodas) were also Glass and when you returned bottles to shop sellers you got cash for returning them, as there was a tax called deposit on every bottle that was claimed back. Me and my friends used to go around town finding abandoned bottles, taking them to shops and making money! Never needed to ask parents for pocket money!

UK:we have only 1 recycling bin in most areas. The council segregates the different materials with magnets, air blasters, robots, etc.

The reason bottled water is given instead of tap water is because our tap water is disgusting because of the gross old pipes. Most of us prefer to drink mineral water because it comes from a mountain spring so it is more pure. We have recycling bins in every house in the UK.

I know they don't really have recycling and compost pickup in the US, but I never realized the US doesn't have bottle depots! Here in Canada, when you purchase drink that is in a recyclable container (e.g. glass, plastic, metal cans), you also pay a small deposit fee. When you return your empties to the bottle depot, they pay you that fee back. Every province is different, but here in Alberta it's between 5 cents for little juice/drink boxes (like kids take in their lunches), 10 cents for pop cans, and 25 cents for the big 4L (1 gallon?) milk jugs. I don't drink so I'm not sure how much the glass bottles from alcohol are worth. In the larger cities, collecting empties left in parks or trash bins (or even open-topped recycle bins in public places) is one way many homeless people earn a living.

Depends where in Europe you are, in the UK you don't have to pay at every public toilet only council run usually, here in South Wales it's 30p. But you can go to local supermarket like Tesco and go free etc. The money goes towards maintenance and cleaning of them. Bottle water you pay but tap water is free. Ketchup isn't just in jars, we also have sachets aswell & little plastic dishes too. Joy smoking you can do in the UK is outside, not allowed inside any public place not even pubs you have to go outside.

If you in a restaurant or supermarket/store then you generally dont pay for the toilet. if it in a public place you sometimes have to pay, but where I live down in Folkestone its generally free

All this kinda depends. Here in Nordics, tap water is free. And nobody minds if you use the bathroom in some store/restaurant, that said, sometimes door is opened with code that's on receipt or some other method that only allows customers, it all really depends on business. Overall, if they get frustrated with people using their bathroom, they are just going to get some control mechanism instead of actually stopping people. Shopping centers and big stores though pretty much always have free bathroom. There are some random public bathrooms, and those are paid. Overall, there's always place to go, never actually been to public bathroom, since if there isn't free access, I'm just going to buy something cheap in some business and get access that way. For me, some of Europe is kinda insane with the bottled water. Not to mention it's just extra waste. So you are not alone ;D

Where I live in Australia I get 13 public holidays a year, 2 weeks sick leave a year, up to 5 weeks annual leave with a 17.5% leave loading on top, maternity/parental leave I think is about 6 months

Toilets in establishments are always free, at least in my experience, which is mostly in the UK, Germany and France. Pay toilets are only in public areas like town centres, train stations, etc. Water is free if you request tap water. Bottled water costs money, just like it does in the US. The difference is that European restaurants will default to bottled water, whereas in the US they automatically bring you free tap water. I’m sure I’ve seen Tyler react to the two-button flush system in another video, so it’s starting to get a little dull how little he learns from all the videos he watches - the same goes for the vacation time Europeans get compared to Americans. If I see him surprised at the difference between US pudding and the fact that it means any dessert in the UK, or about the fact that pies in the UK, and around Europe, can have meat in them, I may have to consider only watching them on double-speed for the sake of my blood pressure!

Baffled he never heard the term still water. Where I am in Canada all public bins are divided between garbage and recycling and the recycling is often further divided into paper and other. Everyone returns their empty beer cans/bottles because they get $ back to recycle them. Each home has a garbage, a recycle and a green (compost) bin to be left near the street on scheduled pickup days. I wonder if not having a recycling program is just where Tyler is. America is definitely behind with a LOT of things but with regards to money, still using one-coloured notes made of paper and no coins of significant value. Maybe if they switched to indestructible polymer and replaced dollar bills with coins they could finance universal healthcare. If you‘re just out to dinner with a friend it can be done in 90+ minutes or so. But if you‘re out with a lot of family it can turn into a long night. 3 hours is not impossible. Me and some DM friends met up at a bar/restaurant and we stayed there for about 12 hours. But they loved us. We ended up spending 500 dollars in there, so i dont think they complained about anything. 😊

It depends on the country for sure! In Sweden we recycle, portion sizes are small, you don’t NEED a car, and we pay for toilets, but most of these things are not accurate at all. The 'pay to use' toilets he is talking about are ones either on streets, in large public areas such as rail stations and maybe the odd shopping mall (thought that is rare). Not toilets in cafe's, restuarants or stores. Here in the UK we could be better at public recycling but are good when it comes to home produced rubbish. The minimum by law in the UK for a full time employee is 20 days holiday plus 8 days public holidays. Over the last few years some terrible American practices have been creeping in and it need to be stopped. When Walmart purchased our supermarket chain ASDA they tried to impliment such rules etc. and were met with stiff oppostion and employment laws that they fell foul of legaly. They eventually gave up fighting and sold the supermarket chain on. We do have a horrible thing called 'zero hours' contracts which are normally for the really low paid sectors like home care workers etc. This is very exploitive of the worker and needs to be made unlawful. The ketchup not on the table tends to be with fancier restuarants were you would ask for any condiments of your choice (with that posh jar he was in a very nice place).

1 euro is expensive to me. Thats 6 toilet trips here. You pay at the airport and the train Station,not in a nightclub. And that gives you a certain assurance that its gonna be nice in there.
