This is part 2 of airbag suspension install on my w126 turbo diesel mercedes 300 sdl. I got all these air bag components for around 600 bucks and I'm sure I've got one of the cheapest bagged rides on youtube, definitely the cheapest w126.

The custom fuel setup is awesome ! In the future you could cut the bottom of the trunk floor to accommodate a flat larger tank but its great!

Awesome work. I'm also in process of bagging my W126 here in California. I actually ordered the Dolud kit and the rear bag setup is using the shock mounting points and I'm guessing nothing goes where the original spring goes. It's an interesting setup. I never took it apart but the shocks seem to sit inside the bag housing. I haven't worked on it in months because not looking forward to removing my SLS system and been waiting for some fittings from airlift. I look forward to seeing some more of your videos.

Love the old Mercedes diesel. I put a om617 in my Jeep Cherokee when back when I was in highschool.

Lowkey wanna bag my first gen xb cuz the look awesome bagged but it’s stock so there’s cheaper things I’d rather do before I consider bagging it. Awesome series of bagging your car tho

Not a bad deal for $600 but the amount if custom work vs bolt-on application is night day when it comes to fitment worries.

can i make a recommendation. i would a water trap in line with the comnpressor. especially with a steel tank. it will help with rusting out. if you need any help with getting anything setup send me a message. love the simple install video. i have some air ride videos on my channel. mine was pricier with gauges and electric solenoids but i would love to help if you have any questions, i also recommend wiring the relay to a switched input so the compressor doesnt run if the car is off. the tank will lose pressure and the compressor will run if the car is off. then battery will die. ask me how i know lol

Looks like all bushings will be destroyed fast. How are you going to fight problem with bushings and changing height once in a while?

Awesome vid, I am trying to add air ride on my old 1950 ford shoebox, how would you connect the relay? I am not firmiliar with electrical

Well a relay has a: -Coil connector 1 -Coil connector 2 -NO (normally open) -COM (common) -NC (normally closed). So positive goes to a fuse after that to input pressure switch and output goes to coil ''Coil connector 1'', ''Coil connector 2'' goes to GND or negative -, positive from the battery goes also to relay COM and NO goes to compressor while negative of compressor connects to the chasie. I would suggest before you connect the pressure switch to positive add a wire that goes to like headlights or something because for the pump to not turn on when the car is off it will work only if you have the headlights on witch is always when the car is on.

Neat!! I really want to bag my mkv tdi, but it needs a clutch and tune before anything like that happens. One suggestion for your trap door in the trunk. Go check out some cabinet hinges that mount inside, that way the top deck of the trunk floor is completely smooth sans the pull tab 😁

No turns off at 180 psi and then turns back on at 150 or less psi

I hate that the back always goes lower and tucks more than the front, even on my car.. Great video nonetheless ✊🏾

That is usually an optical illusion. If you look at the wheel arches, the front arch higher than the back to give more turning room for the front wheels. That is why the car sits level on the bottom, but the rear wheels have more tuck.

some older deiesls are a bitch to start when they run out of fuel ... thr hole priming/ Bleeding maybe install a float in that small tank somthing to indicate its empty

The fuel cell has a sending unit in it. I haven't figured out if I am running a wire to the stock gas gauge or if I have to use the aftermarket gauge that I have.
