Just a few PSA notes about the Mini 3: There are two versions of the mini 3. One has a 281wh battery, the other (this one) has a 393wh battery. The battery cells used in the 281wh version are (as far as i can tell) the Highstar INR21700-40PR cells. I couldnt find any info on these cells so im unsure of their quality but Tynee is a pretty well respected company in the industry so I trust that they are at least passable. The 393wh version has Molicel M42A cells, not P42A cells. M42A cells are still good but P42A are pretty much the best currently used in the industry.

Great info! Yeah, only the Pro has the P42 molis. Sounds like maybe in this review they had the smaller battery, hence much smaller range.

Hub motors you can push like a regular board. With belts you cant push

Since the pro version is so similar I think a lower cost short range version would make more sense

You can push the board with hub motors. Belt motors are hard to push if it dies

It’s been very hard to purchase a e board for my son I wish I knew who would donate one to him because he is a good boy but I can’t afford it right now 😢

Check out the tynee mini 3 SL, its low cost for college students at 359$ im thinking about getting it myself. Its the best bang for your buck

Interesting how much has been invested into making a long range short board which is a lot more uncomfortable to ride than a long range long board. Sheesh the real life range of this board is crazy.

I prefer the short board feel. I’ve always disliked longboards

@@creed1741It will easily get 26 or more if you're cruising at a lower speed. Board manufacturers don't test their range at top speed.
