@@EnglishScripter you sure they all went up to Cammell in Liverpool..14 dock has been improved but as of January only 3 out of the six are available don’t think all have or even three had the propulsion upgrades yet..hopefully done asap and mistake never made again although I’m sure 26 be same but hey money for someone…👍🤭😂😂😂😂

Well, I had the same view as you, and to me, the Arleigh Burke looked old-fashioned and the Type 45 looked sleek modern, and designed to be stealthy. Our new destroyer the Zumwalt has taken this to the next step and does look as if it comes from your conehead planet lol but it's definitely the best of the 3. I think the Type 45 is a great destroyer and I'm glad the Brits are on our side!

It looks 'modern', streamlined and of course built to have a very small radar signature to give it stealth capability. I was quite surprised by how outdated our destroyers looked in comparison and to make a joke out of our inadequacies by calling the Type 45 'conehead' is just dumb especially when you consider the Zumqualt destroyer outdoes the Type 45 in that department lol. Well done the Brits it looks great and with the 2 new aircraft carriers and the new frigates coming, things for once are looking good for you and that is good for us. We're brothers after all.

I thought the opposite are you sure you knew which one you were looking at? The Arleigh Burke class looked old and clunky. Apparently, they were commissioned in 1991 while the UK's Type 45 were built between 2003 and 2012 which might explain it. Also, I looked into the two navies the UK has a Type 23 frigate which compliments their destroyers. We don't seem to have any frigates at all. The Russians had a run-in with one of the type 45s close to the Crimea and backed off after being warned that it could simultaneously take down every Russian plane circling it - now that's badass.

@@chrisparnham the type 45 is an over glorified triangle the arleigh burke has shape and style the classic mast a high and imposing bridge type 45 ran from the russians at full speed when they realized they were approaching a kirov lol

Is it a reception place for Muslim immigrants? Is there any 8500 ton ship in the world for more than 1 billion pounds without torpedoes, long-range / short-range quadpack air defense missiles, anti-ship missiles (will be replaced by short-range NSMs, but still inferior too much far from LRASM or YJ-18), anti-submarine missiles, land attack cruise missiles, can only carry 1 light/medium anti-submarine helicopter. It should be used as a receiving vessel for Muslim immigrants rather than a warship. Even a 4,000-ton Chinese or 2,000-ton Russian warship is equipped with heavier equipment than this.

Agree,... except..when it comes to land attack, anti ship, anti submarine, ( no ship borne torpedo weapon system ), anti ballistic and the sheer number of missiles carried ( 96 vs 48 ). Lol. The 45 is a fine ship, but its a typical RN warship thats been neutered by bean counters back in Whitehall. They are too few in number and under armed. I served on a batch 2 type 22 frigate HMS Brave in the late 80s, and the weapons fit was suicidal. Oh, and when it comes to sailors, I did 25 years Royal Navy and 18 in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary and believe me, we've got our fair share of crap.

Burke looks like a warship and is heavily armed, the type 45 does not carry much in the way of weapons, smaller load out of missiles, and looks weird
