Thanks for the video!! It't so helpful. I am a beginner sewer and looking for proper lining fabric. Can you explain a bit what's tricot knits? Is it better than interlock as a stretchy lining? And also, where I can get the poly/cotton/spandex woven lining fabric? Thank you!!!

very good video. thanks for putting this out there. i also use broadcloth as a lining- its cheap. especially for summer clothes.

I've lined linen dresses with broadcloth, it works great and it's very breathable and works nicely with heavier weight linens.

+Daniela Tabois Hello, I have a couple of Qs. Does all polyester 600D have PVC backing or is there 2 types, such as polyester 600D with PVC backing & Polyester 600D without PVC backing? And also, is polyester 210D a strong material for backpack inner pockets & lining? Thank you!

I request you to kindly make a Video on What Linning Should Be Used For Different Fabrics.As I don't have any idea about this and what points should be kept in view while selecting a linning for the main fabric. i prefer rayon/viscose lining. i would love to get silk, but too pricey for me. you have great videos! :)

+JHONATTANFF polyester is also good for fall and winter clothing. and it's very durable and washable too. i'm not very picky with lining lol...as long as the fabric feels nice to the touch, i'm good.

You can use china silk, mesh lining, satin, cotton/blend broadcloth the option is endless.

i find that all the fabric Stores I've been in don't label their fabrics. i personally don't know what is what unless i ask. is that typical of all fabric stores?

+Tavonna Adams Yes, if you ask the sales person they can direct you. Keep a mental note when looking for it again. As I've stated in the video you can use any type of light weight fabric as lining. It all depends on your project.
