Y’all say that wii version was your childhood, but I grew up with the ds version. And to the small child I was back then, it was INCREDIBLY difficult completing the game. I remember all the blood and sweat I put into it until it finally paid off.

I was actually better at the DS version but it does seem harder than the Wii looking back at it. I remember I only got as far as the beginning of World 8, I didn't make it far through World 7 but I did World 4.

In ds, I fondly remember beating the last castle with using the blue shell. It was overpowered in some aspects, but of course then there's the mega mushroom which is pretty self explanatory

What I liked about world 8 in NSMB DS was the fact that the first levels focused on a more desolate and haunted feeling. Once you think you’ve defeated Bowser for good, you realize it’s not the end, and that’s when the lava begins. The final castle was genius with its weird switches.

The wii version just showed the biggest plot twist and was the most emotional fight of any Mario game of all time as the music got more intense and this fight seen was actually scary and Epic. 14:50

@@dice44 it wasn’t bad,for what it was at the time it was one of the best if not the best bowser fight. But compared to NSMBU where you actually get to fight him while stile feeling that hopeless feel that NSMBW gave you,it just doesn’t stand up to it. But then of course I think color splash and origami king are better then TTYD so I guess I’m weird (I don’t feel like arguing why those are better then the old games)

I grew up with the wii version. During the time I didn't had a DS. I remember the time I finally reach the last castle and defeating bowser. The final boss fight plus the music was traumatizing for my young self, the relief of beating the whole game was amazing. Until I realized there was another world. *a star*

I think what I love about New Super Mario Bros DS is how you can literally grab a Mega Mushroom from one of the toad houses and USE IT against the bosses of the world :D

the only time Bowser actually died in the canon was in New Super Mario Bros DS in world 1 and then officially died in world 8 before the final fight before being brought back to life by his son, but he was actually dead
