This is one of the best videos I've ever seen. Seeing typhoons flying close up is stunning enough but there's something truly artistic and mesmerising about how they seem to be living things being filmed in their natural environment. It's the music but also that you seem to be watching them interact with the film crew on the tail ramp. Great stuff.

They look so close that you almost want to pet the Typhon in the nose... Awesome images!!

You can get this kind of footage of wild Typhoons in autumn and winter, but spring is nesting season for delta canards and the Typhoon will defend its nest aggressively to protect its chicks. Then it's safer to get footage of the Rafale, which is a brood parasite and lays its eggs in unattended Gripen nests.

Things like this really make me think about how incredible human beings are. Fantastic stuff!

Nice to see the fighter pilot so close, so exposed, and think about the role of that canopy and his gear in sustaining life at such conditions up to supersonic speeds. Impressive machines!

Such an awsome aircraft the eurofighter saw it last year at Blackpool airshow the noise was breathtaking has to be one of my favourite aircraft

I was the C130 ground engineer on that flight. What you don’t see is the mirages of the French Air Force that were also part of the exercise now that was the best day at work ever.

For the people saying it's digital (cgi or whatever) this is how they get the shots you see on things like recruitment adverts. Did you think they filmed them from a very high and very fast scissor lift?

Beautiful! Presumably the Typhoons come from below the herc to avoid the slipsteam. More than birds it reminds me of dolphins playing and surfacing in the wake of a boat. Still, excellent choice of music to accompany the stunning footage. Can you tell us what your brother was filming for and when and where we might see the end result?

When they're up that close, it feels like they are lions staring at the safari truck full of tourists, just waiting for one of them to fall out the vehicle as their camera falls to the ground and gulping the tourist in one of their intakes!

Just look at the attitude of the Typhoon it was flying so slow it must have been close to stalling!

Beautiful airplanes in there element those big engine intakes and the nose look really smart for such a small aircraft these things are monsters incredibly loud in the flesh and unbelievabley agile

Typhoon is the only plane that could probably have a chance out maneuvering the f-22 I think.

Back in 1991 we took pics of Tornado F3...and the pilot touches the tail door harnesses with the nose test pitot probe...

Such a beautiful bird with a sinister edge

Why do all the americans commenting on here take it for granted that the camera plane is a Hercules? Strangely enough there a lots of cargo aircraft with rear opening ramps. The one featured her is actually an Airbus A400M, an aircraft developed and built in Europe, which thank goodness is not part of the usa.

It’s amazing that 130 can fly with those props spinning so SLOWLY I guess those 2 extra blades are really doing their job You should line a BUNCH of them up abreast so I can fondle them as they slide left or right
