I think the fairly classic Winged Prime add-in to Tyranid Warriors is with the Vanguard Onslaught detachment to confer the Vanguard Invader keyword onto them. At a minimum this gives them the ability to advance and charge - I would imagine that'd be very helpful on melee Tyranid warriors. With range Tyranid warriors that gives them the complete freedom to fallback / shoot / charge (from datasheet) or advance and charge (from detachment rule). The keyword also means you can put the chameleonic enhancement on the prime to confer the benefit of cover against ranged attacks (and stealth onto himself when relevant / bodyguard is dead). There is also the battle tactic Surprise Assault to make a unit takes a battle shock test, always gain +1 to hit against a target and +1 to wound if it fails that test. Very handy now that they have nerfed range warriors hitting on a 4+ - one of the few ways of improving this to a 3+ in the new book. The Seeded broods stratagem allows you to come on from reserves and counts as the battle round being one higher than normal, helping to mitigate their slow speed and help to flank the enemy. The Unseen Lurkers stratagem gives the unit >12" away from the enemy the Lone Operative ability and prevent them from being shot - useful again for melee warriors to advance up the board that are still out of charge range. Finally invisible Hunter stratagem allows you to put two Vanguard Invader units back into reserves at the end of the opponents fight phase. I guess you could couple that with Seeded broods to redeploy in a favourable position next turn instead of running around the map?

Sometimes I think GW creates absurd an useless rules: the Prime has the FLY keyword and shares it with a unit (but not the ability to fly actually), so that if you're hit by an anti-fly weapon you suffer from its effect😂😅😢

So in the example where the exocrine is partially within the ruin, what happens when the unit is multiple models? Are the models wholly within the ruin able to shoot out of the ruin given they have true line of sight? Or is the whole unit unable to shoot out because the unit as a whole is only partially within the ruin? Appreciate you clarification!

The 5s would also be Lethal Hits (from Hyper-aggression adaptation?) in these scenarios wouldn't they? Adrenal Surge makes 5+ rolls Critical Hits and so would trigger Sustained 1 _and_ Lethal Hits. There's no need to split up your 5s and 6s. [Edit] Oh you caught it right at the end lol

I’m a little confused a squad has a prime and 2 warriors then you add a winged prime? How is that right does the foot prime in the squad does it have the same stats as a winged minis the fly key word
