In this video Xeno goes over all Final Fantasy XIV Extreme Trials and makes a tier list based on experience during prog (progression), raid mechanics, fun, farm and music. Watch till the end to find Xeno's favorite primals and the ones he dislikes the most. He also sings (badly) some of their theme songs.

@@mosley3485 Was nice back in the day when WHM had Fluid Aura, you couldn't stun the mob after a set time, but you could ping him against a wall to stop the cast.

Susano gets alot if love simply for the fact that he's the only primal whose not a life and death situation.He has a solid base for everything,and the story implications are that he's best boi looking for a fun time. That and the Sword mechanic is amazing.

Titan Ex was one hell of a fight. Solo-healing it felt like an actual accomplishment. Wouldn't trade a single run.

My brother asked me to play ff14 with him, when i reached lvl 50 he said i was ready to try one of the easiest primal extreme in the game(min lv and no-echo). It took me 2 days to learn how to tank, swap tank and rotation of the boss, one of the most satisfying boss fights in 25 years of playing mmorpg. btw, took me 5 days to beat him.

2 minutes in! I knew Titan EX is top tier. As a new player, I started enjoying boss fighting when I ran through the first 3 Primal Extremes (Ifrit, Garuda and Titan). Oh boy, multiple restarts until you learn each mechanic and boom!!! it's completed with you barely noticing the end.

Thordan, Ravana, Sephirot and Nidhogg. I really like the taste of Xeno when it comes to EX fights, music alone in those fights made them feel so cool. Also Thordan "limit brake" screen shatter = FF7 KotR nostalgia jizz in the pants no matter if it was EX or Normal mode.

Sephirot has a special place in my heart because he taught me how to tank properly, and also the straight up damage he did. Tank buster > IMMEDIATE HALF HP AOE > IMMEDIATE tankBuster > IMMEDIATE HP AOE. Like woaaaah xD

Seat of Sacrifice EX I think nailed the balance between random orders and dance fights. It was so satisfying to prog, and still cool to come back to.

Warrior of light was my first ex trial I progged on release day it was fucking amazing and will always be the best ex trial in my eyes.

Really good! I will disagree with Suzaku though, although maybe I just enjoy rythem games more. The second phase was amazing, requiring good awareness of surroundings as well as the boss, and is one of the few fights where you had to watch the outside. Farm was pretty fun with the simon says and watching for the pull in or push out mechanic and the big dragon kick was pretty sweet. Also damage up for doing the intermission correctly, big damage. The fact that the get fucked mechanic was right at the start with the phoenix adds and not later on also meant you didn't have to do the entire fight then wipe to bullshit at the very end, as her simon says slowly gets layered with more stuff, it also never felt like you would just get fucked by something you didn't understand, plus it was hilarious to watch people with forced march run into explosions or off the platform.

I think this list is pretty legit. Personally loved Emerald Weapon even after the prog. Easy A. Ultima Weapon was the first EX for a lot of players and Aetheric Boom was the first time dealing with a late game insta wipe for many. I'd give it a B, at least. Great tier list though. 👌 Nidhogg was one of those encounters that required more than the average extreme. O10S ripped mechanics straight from it. Easy S.

He left out a mech regarding Ifrit EX. The healer mech, where they had to separate, and the chains mechanic. Might of been first time we saw people chained together. I'd give it a B.

Hmm, great video. But one thing, personally i would prefer if you rank ARR primals first then HW so on so forth. Just so i could pause the vid before facing them and then resuming after i beat them hehehe

I never played an mechanic mmo [played runescape alot back in the day] before coming to FFXIV, I did Titan Ex after two weeks into the game...did not go well the first time...But playing the fight out I felt I did learn alot from the fight and next time I went in was 1 of 3 people to not get knocked from platform the entire duty and it felt incredible clearing the fight after the 3rd or 4th pull with the 2nd group. Was the first time i felt so excited and hyped for a clear, Titan is rough but damn does it feel good to crush

Gotta say, for me, I can see the potential in WoL being a good fight, but my PF prog party killed my experience of it hard and I never returned to it, I decided to stick to Emerald and Diamond weapon which are honestly my 2 favourite EXs of Shb

I'm not even a minute and a half in and OH MY GAWD Titan EX duty finder was an absolute fucking nightmare back in 2014. That fight really obliterated people, meanwhile I'm over here having an absolute blast whether we wipe or not.

E4S Titan if you think about it is a combination of Titan Ex and Sephirot Ex because in phase 2 you got that knockback from Sephirot and the arena cleaves.

Seiryu was one of the first EX trials I progged so I have very fond memories of it. Emerald Weapon was the first EX trial I progged in ShB and that fight can be erased from the game tyvm. Everything problematic that can happen with FF14's snapshot system was present in Emerald, it felt terrible. Felt like I was lagging my balls off during prog. I hate P2 to this day even if I can do it perfectly now, to me it just isn't fun with how delayed everything feels. And don't get me started on farm, that's a -1/10.

Synopsis - Heavensward brought the best mix of Primal Ex fights over the life of the expansion while Stormblood had the weakest. Honestly, that checks out.

@@kingheenokgaming4783 my experience is the difficulty between minimum item level and sync with no echo is night a day. I had the same experience with sync no echo where we owned it easily. But on minimum item level you actually had to do the mechanics properly.

Funny how immediately in the first 2 choices i both agree and disagree with Xeno, Titan is definitely Tier S material or even higher, but i really disagree on how Leviathan is garbage, but then again not each fight is the same after all and that is one of this game strong points, i myself love to do roulette for Leviathan, but that is me, keep on strong Xeno!

this might be a tank perspective list cus i never progged these cus i am a new player but so far all the fight i though was super fun where the same ones xeno thinks where fun but my friends that got me into ff14 hate most of the fights i think are fun and i would say 70% of the reason they got me to play ff14 is cus none of them like tanking and i like tanking in most mmos
