I moved to Los Angeles with $3000 to my name. I saved this money in 3 months before moving and I am sharing my tips and tricks for how I moved to LA on a Budget in 2022. For my first year I was basically broke living in LA and I say this because I was HUSTLINGGGG! I was working all the jobs and doing all the things to make money in Los Angeles.

Hey, I found an apartment. Signed the lease, electronically. Told him when I was coming. But as soon as I didn't give him a deposit, immediately. Rather, when you actually move in, he took the place back! Can he do that, after I sign the lease?

Hi! I would love to know how you were able to move securing work beforehand. I'm facing the issue of not having work lined up in advance but I don't want that to stop me - it's put the move on hold for way too long and I know that I am supposed to take a leap of faith and move, but how did you get companies to give you work when you weren't in the same state yet? Did you have a gap of time where you didn't have any gigs when you first moved?

You’re video really cheered me up today. I was feeling not so confident today. So I moved away for a few months and realized I made a mistake… i ended up really missing LA. I was in Weho. I found a roommate in studio city for 2 months starting July 1st but then I have to find my own place or another roommate. It had been so hard to find a good roommate this time I’m scared…with only having 3,000. I think last time I had 4K and stayed for a year and made it. Idk why I’m so nervous this time. I’m afraid I won’t be able to find my own place for around $1,400… in 2 months… I don’t even know where to look. I’m going to be bartending again. please let me know if you know of any places that are safe… and more affordable for a young single female. Thank you so much for your goal sheet…. It means a lot and I will use it as my guide for when I try this out once again.

hey! loved the video:) I was wondering about the months part in the spreadsheet. If I move in a year, should I write down goals for 6 months before my move? and what would these goals be? or is is what to do in the first 6 months after I move to LA? can you please give examples of what these could be? thanks a lot, keep doing these videos!

Heyyy May! You can use it however you’d like, but I would personally do the 6 months leading up to the move. And if you’d like to do from now until your move you can! Your goals will be different than mine, but think about what you want to accomplish month 1, month 2… remember this is a guide to help you along your journey 🥳

Please don't give these folks some false sense of reality. Just because you came to LA with three G's doesn't mean that's a smart move. I came to LA with over ten G saved up and single. But that was in 2003. Now lucky I sleep on someone couch for three months. It took me a month to get a job. So I came prepared for whatever, so I thought. I moved out a friend apartment and bought a used FedEx Van. Took all the money I saved and pimped it out. I lived in that Van for a year and a half. It was the best moved I made

I'm in michigan and have my massage therapy license and was thinking of saving up like 6k to move there to persue acting. but do you think it would be wiser to take classes here 1st before I go out there? or should I just take classes out there? thank you in advnace. oh and what is considered cheap rent out there for a studio lol

Hey there! This is a loaded question! lol but, you have to decide what works best for YOU. I can only give you my opinion. If you've never taken an acting class, I say take one before you leave home to see if you like it. As far as rent goes, "cheap" rent is relative to the person lol. But if you're looking to live alone you're looking at anywhere between 900-1500 for a nice spot depending on the location, that's the best guestimation I can give you! but I wish you luck in the future!! 🥳

People don't move to LA unless you have family or friends already here .... don't move to LA unless you are in show business or want to attend one of the great colleges .... and please don't move to LA unless you have some kind of skill or hustle
