First, beautiful work, that is amazing. I am a machinist and when you were doing the guard, I wouldn't have spent the time drilling those holes, just one. I would then have lined the end mill with your one hole and plunged have the diameter of the end mill and made your pass that way. You would be end-milling and I bet it would be faster to make multiple passes that way. I didn't see the end mill itself but use a 2 or 3 flute for copper with WD40 as lube. Thanks for the awesome video

Omg. Where should I start to say how beautiful this masterpiece is? The idea of copper Damascus it's so original and the result is such a beautiful and unique mix of patterns and colors. You think you've seen the most beauty of this knife in the blade, but then here it comes the handle: absolutely stunning! It looks exactly as if it's sparkling on fire. Even the guard's color fits perfectly with both the handle and the blade. Speechless, great great job.

Mr., that is one STUPENDOUS freakin' knife. A lot of people are shocked when they see the sticker price of a high-end knife. But when you realize the knowledge, experience, craftsmanship, artisan skill, the time, the cost of materials and careful selection of just the right components to produce such a one-of-a-kind, painstakingly hand worked instrument - it becomes more clear and you can appreciate where your money is going. A fellah can always make more money. But few can produce such work as this. What a pleasure to watch and an impressive piece to behold. Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful knife first of all! Regarding drilling a chain of holes to save the endmill, I've tried it both ways and I get better results NOT chain drilling. When the endmill breaks into the next hole you get a lot of deflection because it is grabbing on the climb milling side while still cutting a big ol' chunk on the conventional milling side. You tend to see a bunch of marks where it digs in at each of those spots. I will drill a hole at each end of a slot to save the endmill while plunging, but otherwise I mill it from solid. Please don't take this as criticism. It's just the way I prefer to skin my cats. You do beautiful work!
