It’s much harder to go from 20 to 26 then 9 to 18 maxey went from a role player to a star while white went from a benchwarmer to a role player. Pretty sure maxey had a 9 point increase last year but there’s a reason why he won it this year instead of last year

Coby was not a benchwarmer last year and has never been since he's been in the NBA. If you actually watched and didn't just Google his PPG you noticed the difference in his game...Congrats to Maxey though

I guess it makes sense. Yes he proved that he was a star last year but he proved this year that without Embiid he can atleast bring the 76ers to the playoffs by himself kinda. Coby White pretty much couldn't win enough for his team but he had great season.

Love Maxey, but I feel CW deserved it more. Maxey has been underrated for years, just never got any spotlight with Harden on the team, and this year he was finally able to flourish.

Maxey was already good. He's actually more inefficient now than last year. He only went from 20ppg to 25ppg. I think coby white should of gotten it.

That is just normal all star progression. Tyrese maxey was averaging 20 points in the 2022-2023 season. Now he is averaging about 26. Normal for an all-star. If you look at players like Coby White and also Alperen, they both ramped up all their stats significantly. Coby increased his ppg by 10 and Alperen by 6. Both of them also became way better playmakers in this season. I hope Maxey plays well in his next game though, Philly needs him

@@robboss1330well no he was never the play runner until this season after harden left, so he essentially had to wait behind simmonds and then harden to actually get the role he relishes in. He only played 60 because he broke his foot last year but he only started 40 games so he wasn’t a for sure starter game to game even, now wether that’s just doc being a terrible coach or whatever is possible but still just shows this year he moved to a starter and you didn’t even have to look.

Copy white was 100% robbed many jumped up 4 points and 3 assists from last year, while white jumped 10 points and 3 assists from last year while being one of the best three point shooters in the nba. Anyone who says Maxey deserved it is a 76ers fan.
