Diverse films are fine but don’t force diverse characters in roles where they don’t belong. Especially the ridiculous girl boss films. Selene, Sarah Connor and Ripley were excellent female roles so it can be done.

The LA bubble is only interested in DEI and activism. Hollywood only hires writers from the LA bubble, so I don't see how any sort of change is possible.

What's so silly is that movies have had plenty of diversity before it was so forced. I'm also sick of people acting like we never enjoyed gay or lesbiain characters before. One of the funniest shows we had in the 90s was literally about two gay male roommates. Brokeback Mountain won a dang award. One of my favorite anime had majority lesbaian characters due to circumstances they had to live with. One of the most loved novels and show from China is literally about forbiden love between two men because they were from two different factions of beliefs. A movie my mother and I stumbled upon one night from Japan was about a gay samurai. You don't even realize it until the end of the movie. The man had to duel and kill the man he loved. We both cried by end because it was so well written and scripted. *And there have always already been amazing female leads that both men and women enjoyed watching on screen. As well as a multitude of diversity. It was already there and done correctly.* That's why woke Hollywood is a joke... We already had those things, and people enjoyed them. They were just apart of who the character was and explained why they had to deal with certain conflicts. It was always told in a natural way, not thrown in your face 24/7.

I used to go to the movies once a month when I saw something worth seeing. Now I go maybe once a year. Most of the time I just watch the same movies I've collected over the years because all the new stuff is just crap.

Well many of those questions were about how we fans felt about politics or activism in the entertainment. Basically they know they have a problem and are worried.

The Alamo is pretty cool. They do events/themes/ special menu based on the movie’s popularity. Some examples are: John Wick 4 - Wear your best assassin suit premier (Chicago Alamo). The Barbie Movie had a special alcoholic “Pink Drink”. For John Wick they had a pretty funny recap before the movie started to bring you up to speed. Retro feel lobby and good menu. I wonder what will happen to whoever buys it .

I’m gonna have to disagree, Star Trek Discovery is actually really good. Yes, there are some woke elements but the show still has good storytelling and character development also Star Trek has always been socially progressive.
