Take everything off the "logic board" and reflow the board by putting it in the oven. This seriously works. It works by melting the the solder joints and then lets them harden. Motherboards go through the reflow process during manufacturing.

I've seen that on my Mac, it wasn't the logic board, it was a firmware kernel problem. You probably are able to save your data but you'll have to reformat from the boot cd

Actually it just looks like the Hard Drive is hitting its final leg and so some system files became corrupt. I'd recommend u power off/on several times...its possible it will let you back in briefly. Besides that i'd love to get the system error message that was shown on the screen (hard to see)

I know it's probably not a motherboard problem since it boots and posts the error page. It's most likely (very likely) an HDD problem. All he has to do is prepare a bootable linux external drive on a different Mac and boot it on his. If you press Alt "Mac boot loader" will be loaded. They can even try reinstalling Mac OS X before trying any of this it may be just that HDD has some corrupted files.

I love my MacBook it beats pc hands down, this probably happened because the thermal paste melted and it fried the mother board due to hot wheather or being on a hot surface. Take it to a apple genius and they will tell you what's wrong for free.

well since there are about 1000 times more pcs than macs on this planet you are technically correct...but when it does it doesn't cost near as much to replace one on a pc.

Thats actually a HDD problem ,or a bios error, you need to pull the ram in it , and hold down the power button, atleast that's how you would fix the PC version. I doubt it is a mainboard error , if it was i highly doubt the memory would be posting and it would be returning a memory error while booting the OS.

Probably really just a hard drive issue. Throw in a different cloned hard drive (many Macs I see there) and transfer all the data you can.

Macs are the same thing as a pc hardware wise the operating system is the biggest difference.

I like apple products but if there is any kind of deep hardware or software problem your basically screwed bu with windows you can launch a seperate os and recover it or flash a new bios or uefi more recently so apple is a waste of money and time

dude, he had that since 200what? It had a good run. When I had a pc it lasted 2 years when I handled both the same and it was filled with anti virus, virus, norton pop ups and a loud ass fan. And when I wanted to fix my mac, the customer service was better and some parts was for free....forgot why.
