That might be emitting x-ray radiation if that’s an actual cathode ray tube. I would be interested in knowing if it gives off x-rays if you decide to have it tested. Many electronics professionals have suffered debilitating brain illnesses as a result of looking closely at the older screens of their oscilloscopes because of the soft and not-so-soft x-rays, generations past. And it seems like our current government doesn’t have our best interests anymore.

your concerns aren't unfounded. CRTs do leak X-rays. However, the amount and hardness of the radiation scales with size of the CRT. And with an oscilloscope display, you're at the least end of all this, so, even if the protection isn't as good as in a consumer TV, you'll be fine.
