A doctor (David Morrissey) and his girlfriend are stalked by a woman who claims to be in love with him. Meanwhile, the man falls in love with a younger woman. Based on a true story

Thinking about the real victims of stalking...one can't help but wonder how hard it must be for them. This is touching especially because it's based on a true story. Actually real people went through all of that, but I'm glad that in the end it was solved.

Good Movie! Some people are seriously disturbed/down right crazy and scary. I can't believe the Debbie character had to deal with all of that only to have the man do her so wrong, too. That man's a real narcissist for sure. They will even and lie and make up ways to justify their horrid behaviors. Known a couple of them in my days, sad to say. @@lyz18 Not everyone who is a Spanish native speaker sounds the same when they speak English. Accents vary depending on when (at what age) the person learned to speak the language; also if the learner does not have a "good ear" for language he or she will have a heavier accent; besides the fact that not all Spanish speakers sound the same in Spanish. It depends on the country of origin. That has been my experience.

My 2 reactions to this film 1) Hopefully it raises awareness of stalking and helps stalking victims get taken more seriously. 2) He's a cold-hearted prick for telling a woman who is close to being murdered that she is weak & betraying her while they are supposed to be getting married. I'd like to find that cheating backstabbing self centered doctor. Dumps his fiancée because she wasn't 'tough enough' or whatever to ignore constant death threats. Has an affair and runs off. And then has the gall to stew and fret about his reputation: "For the rest of my life, people will think I'm a rapist." I would just like to find him on facebook or something and let him know there's no worries. Nobody thinks he's a rapist. But we all know he's a complete A-hole! Would any patient suffering from mental and emotional issues really get good treatment from a bastard that treats a person the way he did? It's quite funny how people perceive someone until the same thing happens to them. How many men are punished because of injustice by someone of the opposite sex just because it is assumed that the man is the criminal just for being the man? This happened in my case, where my now ex-wife had me arrested for domestic violence and because I am the man, I am the one in the wrong. Later when I was being interviewed I was asked if I wanted to prosecute my wife, based on the evidence, for assault but I declined and accepted a caution. Little did I know that this caution would appear on the National Police Computer of UK until I am one hundred years old. This now stops me from getting a resident permit to live abroad with my new wife who is a national of that country, it stops me from working with elderly people, it stops me from working in schools with children. I have appealed against the decision through ACRO, I have written to two MPs, one of who passed on my letter to Home Secretary Pritti Pittel and whose administration just referred me back to ACRO. I have contacted the Chief Constable of Lincolnshire Police in whose jurisdiction the misfortune took place, I have contacted the Police Commission Office and an organisation that deals with people's data being held inappropriately and who said that my name was being held on the NPC for a disproportionate length of time. I was a teacher by profession and have worked abroad for many years and still I want to help people in Africa who need new knowledge about sustainable development relating to agriculture but all this is made impossible because of what I feel is an injustice where the woman's testament is believed over the mine....so about the film: I was happy to see that justice was done...but sad that the woman did something like that for some unknown reason and hope she would receive help and support in prison or later.

Hey, I recognised that brilliant, humorous and endearing character (the northern England copper placed ingeniously and to great effect in the 19th century Canadian setting ) from that unique masterpiece "Murdoch Mysteries). I didn't realise it was him at first, it was his voice that identified him for me. I think his name is Thomas Craig

What a self-centred, miserable, two-timing prick that doctor was. Was he like that in real life? Glad that Debbie got out when she did. If I'd been her I wouldn't of gone back to that trial, I would've let lover boy get on with it.

As much as you wanted to despise Maria, you have to admit that she did one heck of an acting job in this one. And as far as the doctor is concerned, his girlfriend certainly didn't deserve this: "Because I slept with an airhead tart who didn't love me enough to go on the pill." My jaw dropped and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. First of all, the pill is NOT without side effects and a condom would be the healthier option. I wouldn't blame a woman for that at all.
@rashidadavis83896 жыл бұрын

Well ... I would. For example, in my own life, I started out dating and getting on the pill in the late 1970s. In THOSE DAYS, if a young woman got pregnant, it was HER FAULT. Women need to take some responsibility.

Stalkers are usually people who are unemployed or have a lot of spare time on their hands. I went through it with the son of a couple who lived in my apartment building. Lucky me - he had a key to the front door. He would threaten to kill me at my apartment door at 3:00 a.m. and shove notes through my letter box. It went on for six months. I lived in constant fear, couldn't go anywhere without him following me, harassing me with phone calls at work and even calling the police to tell them that I had killed someone in his garage. He followed me to a restaurant a friend of mine took me to and then followed him home. He then called me at work the next day and told me that he had killed my friend. He was an unemployed mental case who was funded by his parents, who were also terrified of him. He was adopted and had caused them a lot of trouble. He had a record for stalking and harassing many women something the police would have known if they had bothered to check. Instead the first police officer my boss called wrote in his report that I was crazy and had made the entire thing up. In the end I waited for this guy in front of my apartment building and we fought it out. I let him hit me so that I had something to report to the police. He was caught after a week of hiding out and thrown in jail. I'm wondering how this woman who didn't seem to have a computer in her apartment was able to have her calls skip around and be untraceable. She didn't seem to be friends with anyone who could have done this for her. Were her phone records even checked?
