I have really embraced electrics as I have returned this fabulous hobby. This is my first electric conversion. I couldn't find many videos on this airplane so I thought I would post what I did.

I’ve never own any electric planes. Have a few electric helis, but all the equipment came with the kit. Converting to electric confuses the brain, so I’ve been converting from glo to gas. Cool vid! !

A friend of mine came over the other night and we got into real flight evolution and replaced the motor in the u can do with an electric one. The flies pretty close to the real model. If I figure out how to offer a downloadable version on the forums, I will let you know.

how is the vertical performance with this power package? would you be able to hover and do other 3D maneuvers? Very nice video. I have an old U Can Do that I would like to covert.

Vertical is really good. Control surfaces on my plane are a little lacking. I bought some larger servo arms. But I haven't installed them yet. It should give me more throw. It will definitely hover as far as power goes but I wasn't good enough last year to be able to hover for very long. This year will be better.

I might actually replace the servos themselves to get stronger and faster control surfaces. Hopefully it will 3-D better then. To be honest, it was one of the early "3-D" models. But there are planes today that are far superior as far as 3-D performance.
