You're right about that. I am definitely loving it! Flew 6 flights yesterday. Very VERY good, Really suits the kind of flying I like to do. I set up 3 rates. Initially flew mostly mid rates until KE spins or crank shafts, which were high rates. Now I'm thinking high rates are more than enough, so next time out I will be taming the high rates but still allowing for 3D. And maybe add even more expo. So I would only fly on one rate. (Like Martin Pickering) ;) Thanks for checking Ryan

@@waynemiller6070yeah it is not your light 3D type bipe even if built as per instruction and plans with weight range. It is a great sport flyer with basic Aerobatic maneuvers but not your today's 3D flyer if you know what I mean. Nonetheless it is a fun build and great everyday flyer.

The second lead is for telemetry
@waynemiller607024 күн бұрын
Thank you. That's interesting. You mean like for ESC temp, Battery temp or voltage? I'm using an NX8 TX and an AR620. But I understand there is limited telemetry on the AR620 if you know how to get it. My buddy said the extra wire could be for additional power. I'm still pretty new to this electric stuff.

Nice work! Thanks for the video. The best tool I have found for scratch building is a 3D printer. Solves the motor mount, battery hatch and cowl dilemma perfectly. I use On Shape modeling software that is free and lots of KZfaq tutorials are available. I’m in the middle of building a 1M version of the Ultimate Bipe
@waynemiller607026 күн бұрын
I can see how a 3-D printer would have worked really well. I could have used it for the cowl and the battery hatch. I'm sure there's a learning curve too in printing stuff, but I can see that the results may have been more professional for sure.

Hi there. After the tech replaces the dual Venturi, does he have to input a test sequence? Or does he just turn the unit back on and the test sequence will automatically run?
@waynemiller60703 ай бұрын
It must've automatically run. Once he turned it back on the code no longer flashed. I found it kind of strange that he not only did not even unplug the unit, he didn't even turn the gas off.

Repaired a good bit of these but never had to replace the ventruri. Wonder what caused it to go bad. You think it's worth getting a combustion analyzer to diagnose the error code 3
@waynemiller60703 ай бұрын
I don't know how much diagnosis was really necessary. Most of it was trying to figure out if you could avoid repairing or replacing the dual venture. But at 75 bucks for the part and a half an hour for the labor. Just get it done.

@@Albany1226 I believe that's the code I was getting as well. If it can be a few other things, and most of them were related to the venturing tube. the venturing tube was like 75 bucks. And installation is free if you just follow the video. It might be the easiest fix.

I paid the HVAC company 150 bucks to come out and tell me what I already knew. I was thinking they would have something like that on their truck and fix it that day. When they said they were gonna have to order it, that's what I said I'll order it myself because I knew it was gonna cost more to order from them. I did pay them again to replace it, and if there had been a video like this showing me how to do it, I would've done that myself too. Hope this helps. Good luck

how is the vertical performance with this power package? would you be able to hover and do other 3D maneuvers? Very nice video. I have an old U Can Do that I would like to covert.
@waynemiller60706 ай бұрын
Vertical is really good. Control surfaces on my plane are a little lacking. I bought some larger servo arms. But I haven't installed them yet. It should give me more throw. It will definitely hover as far as power goes but I wasn't good enough last year to be able to hover for very long. This year will be better.
@waynemiller60706 ай бұрын
I might actually replace the servos themselves to get stronger and faster control surfaces. Hopefully it will 3-D better then. To be honest, it was one of the early "3-D" models. But there are planes today that are far superior as far as 3-D performance.

I'll explain the conversation. A couple of weeks prior to this Robert was on the phone with Navien making sure all of the preliminary tests were done. He was on hold for a couple of hours. Knowing that it could take that long he got on hold with them at my job because he was going to need to call them on his next job and he wanted to get in the queue ahead of time to save time.

Great video Wayne. We just got one of these and we are having one issue: the rudder and nose wheel are not aligned on ours so when we taxi it veers to the right. Is there a way to loosen the nose wheel mechanism and trim it so it's straight? Thanks.
@waynemiller6070 Жыл бұрын
Hi Steve, Yes, center the servo so the rudder is straight. The servo arm has two sides. One goes to the rudder and one to the nose wheel. Loosen the screw holding the pushrod going to the nose wheel. Straighten the nose wheel and re-tighten the screw. Hope that helps.

Update; I thought that perhaps I had gotten a sloppy whammy by the luck of the draw and ordered another guitar. The new one came before the 1st one was returned but they were both equally sloppy. I returned one to the online music store and sent the other one to line 6 for repair. There was no shipping charge for returning the guitar or for the repair at line 6. I expected to be playing this guitar on the gigs I had in December '16 but with all of the returns and repairs it wasn't until early February that I used it live. All in all, very happy with the guitar. I am currently using a POD XT Live for performing but I am working with the HD 500 until I get the guitar and POD pair working the way I want it. Very excited about the potential here.
