#JFK #StarSpangledBanner
In remembrance of the anniversary of the demise of US President John F. Kennedy today, 22nd of November, as a tribute, I made a mock BBC-styled announcement of his death which features the 1963 recording of the U.S. national anthem, "Star-Spangled Banner". This is to show what if US TV networks announced a presidential death in the 1960s using the format BBC currently uses for a royal death.
Since this is in the 60s, I only used stock footages of the 1963 coverage of the JFK assassination which includes the famous breaking news from Walter Cronkite of CBS News, the US presidential seal during JFK's Berlin Crisis address, and the obituary screen card from NBC News.
The audio recording of the US anthem came from the JFK funeral itself and it was played upon arrival at his resting place in Arlington Cemetery.
