Hello Explorers! In this video we visit the U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlette, North Carolina. This place was awesome! It is a non-profit organization that promotes outdoor activities that were developed to inspire people to get out and participate in extra-curricular events and get active. There is whitewater rafting, kayaking, ziplining, rock climbing to name a few activities. Come along as we explore this amazing place!

Have Y'all been to Virginia yet? The Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah Valley are very lovely. Colonial Williamsburg is great too.

I have driven through Virginia, but Mike hasn't. Williamsburg is on our list to visit one day. We have been on the Blue Ridge in North Carolina. 🙂

It looked like a lot of fun. You need reservations to do it. The center offers a bunch of other activities to do, too. We enjoyed the kayaking, and Mike liked the ziplining. Hopefully, you get to try it! 🙂

I was disappointed that you didn’t give your overall impression at the very end. It just ended with the mishap with the girl and just ended there. Ended a seemingly great day on a bad note. Would’ve liked to gotten an overall grade for the whole experience. Otherwise, it was an excellent video. Thanks for sharing.

I think it started raining that day and because of the mishap we had to get home. The place was pretty amazing. The ziplining was a lot of fun. The only problem we had was from another guest blocking the zipling trail. Mike ended up getting stuck on the zipline for almost 2 hrs waiting for this little girl to move. We had fun taking out the kayaks and swimming on the river. Mike enjoyed doing the obstacle course at the end. You definitely need more than one day if you want to do it all. This is a great place to get into whitewater rafting because they teach you what to do. Make plans ahead if you visit and get there early. We would be interested in going back some day!

It is! Kind of cheap to do too. You can do almost everything for I think 70 dollars and they add fees for the big zipline that Mike did. It was another 10 dollars. There is so much to do there that we probably didn't list it all but we did post the web address to find out more info. Thanks for watching!

Ok, so I am confused... you show the whitewater circuit of USNWC, and then when you show yourself kayaking, it's in some lake? somewhere??

This is a mutiple activity location. You need reservations to do whitewater activities, which we did not have. There is ziplining, which Michael did, and Kayak on the river that is right next to the facility. There is also rock wall climbing and an obstacle course. They have hiking trails too. It is a big outdoor adventure facility. They even have events like ice skating in the winter and music. There is a place to eat, and they do serve beer. There's definitely so much more to do there besides whitewater, which did look amazing. Check out their website to learn more about the place. center.whitewater.org/activity/whitewater-rafting/

So we were there in the summer. I looked up average temperature in April, lower 49 high of 73. It all depends on what you like.

Hi and thanks, Florida and Beyond for sharing. I am a kayaker...but never tried whitewater kayaking or rafting...they are a little intimidating...What? a leaking kayak@5:03!!! How would you like kayaking? Wow, it was a full-day exploration! Thank you for being honest about the miscommunication/mishap...we just have to accept what it is...Well done and keep coming. Lol Mike uploaded this video at 3am so he misspelled what he meant. He said thank you for the spell check. The whitewater rafting did look a little scary. I would definitely not want to do the whitewater kayaking. I will stick to my flat water kayaking. My kayak did have a leak but luckily they saw it right away and we switched kayaks. The place is a lot of fun. Mike said he wants to go back sometime and do the whitewater rafting. He is more adventurous then me lol. Thanks for watching!
