They totally deserve to be up there...goosebumps all over the body..chills , thrills...U2 singing that way is like a drug..The voice is not sheer here but who gives a shxx.. it's about power, energy of the whole packet, we can't analyze this stuff. That was a tremendous moment. Larry in shades at night. The high school marching band members adding so much. Everyone in leather to attempt to stay warm (and cool). U2!

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery for drummer Larry Mullen Jr. from his operation. I'm sure he'll be OK and I look forward to seeing him back in the band soon as possible.

Wow, what a great once-in-a-lifetime performance. The sound is great. The live venue atop Manhattan at sunset in the cold is great. The Rutger's band performers and the fans, all just great! Additionally, all the camera shots, the crane shots, the high shots (from other building or drones) give me a dizzying vertigo.

Wonderful music, with so many possible levels of meaning and of course with the wisdom and beauty they've been so generous with, and so reliable a source of, for decades. Wondering about this one, have since I first heard it a couple of years ago, whether one possible level of meaning in it could be as shared thoughts, a conversation, prayer, with some of it, imagining and trying to express the thoughts of the Infinite. "I am not invisible... I am here." And for those of us who find the Eternal in nature, not only in community with other people of faith, and in ancient texts with timeless truths, so clearly and beautifully illustrated, there, with Fallon's excellent choice of that sky, rather than only his stage, so the entire city in lights, implying the countless people, however ill-fueled they may be, those lights. Since they're there alight anyway, why not take their beauty and spend it freely to give that wonderful music both that perfectly timed sky, glowing into dusk, and the earth of that city to express the temporal with the eternal? Incomparable.

After 34 years of fantastic songs and when every other band has fell by the way side to come back with a song this good is just unbelievable!!! Most good bands these days have 3-4 good albums in them tops. Christ the Stones Roses have got back together and cant even make one new single!!
