Updated tutorial of U2's "Where the Streets Have No Name." The "B" series of tutorial are old and not complete. See the "A" series for the "new and improved" tutorials. For me, as a non instrument player, the very least this video does is highlight the skill necessary to play the guitar, let alone produce a superb rendition of one of the all time greats. Respect.

I've been playing U2 songs for years and this is one of their most simple yet complex songs. This tutorial is fantastic. I wish youtube was around 30 years ago.

Your tutorials are awesome! Thanks for taking the time to do all of these for so many of their songs. I just discovered your channel last month & have learned 2-3 songs by U2 thanks to your lessons. I noticed it was about 10 years ago when you made these videos. Great job explaining the process of configuring the basic tone. Makes it so much easier to dial in the settings when I can hear a clean reference in glorious HD clarity. Wish I had an AxeFX.

Streets and many other U2 songs with a Strat are in "quack" position (bridge and middle together). Bad, AIWIY, Pride and ISHFWILF are the same.

@Rafal102able It should be in front of the amp. The Kor preamp drives / interacts with the preamp of the AC30 in a unique way.

Any chance you can share the Axe-Fx II sysex for this tone? I love your other patches but the "Nameless Streets" patch on the Axe falls way short.

jessedc11 Thank god mate, I thought I was the only one, I can't remember now but its too distorted, nothing like the original. Tweaked it a bit but still no cigar

Do you set also Ducking parameters for this particular delay? If I only use delay with mod, i see that the sound is good for the arpeggios but during the rhythm it sounds too much reverbered. I'm looking for a delay unit for having both dynamic and mudulated delay but there are not many out there...

No ducking settings. Edge just uses a modulated dotted 8th throughout the song. Rhythm parts can be tricky. You still need to strum on time. Eventide and Strymon make great delays that can be set to any type.

Jake Kowalla Sorry, don't have a Strymon. But that's a great delay. Use my tutorials where I show my Axe settings and use that as a guide. You want a digital delay with modulation. That's what is key. Streets is just a dotted 8th note with mod somewhere in the 30 to 45% range depending on the delay. About four repeats or so. Take your time and keep adjusting until you converge to the right tone and timing.
