Ava, who has type 1 diabetes, shares her experience as a student researcher in the UAB Comprehensive Diabetes Center (UCDC).
The UCDC is a University-Wide Interdisciplinary Research Center dedicated to improving the lives of those with diabetes. We're comprised of over 200 faculty members from 10 different schools and many departments.
In our long-term pursuit of improving the lives of those affected by diabetes, we train undergraduate, graduate students, and postdoctoral scholars as well as clinical fellows in diabetes research and management.
