I can understand poverty, and the need to get money, but if you sign such a contract, you know very well that you are going to participate in murder, and the vicious invasion of another country. That's a hell of a choice to make. Supposed ignorance of actual circumstances seems like an incredibly flimsy excuse to me for voluntarily signing up to participate in the killing of people in a country that's not your own. Why the hell would anyone choose that??

I stand with Ukraine and am Retired US Army Infantry. BUT, I remember working a retirement job at a resort in the US that brought in Univesity Students for a season on work visa programs. They will in a dormitory, right across from the campround I stayed at for my visits to my home town. They had about 50 Russian kids. They were well-mannered. Reliable workers and despite the age difference, became regulars around my grill and campfire. Of course I despite their so-called leadership, but I was Infantry with multiple tours and it breaks my heart that all these young kids, on both sides are getting slaughtered.
