In December 1994, Russia signed the Budapest Memorandum where it guaranteed itself to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and to refrain from any threats to use force against its independence and territorial integrity.

@@Galy-0 Russia broke both. However, it is irrelevant. The only reason any Minsk accords had to be made in the first place was because Russia broke - The Budapest Memorandum - 1994 - Russian Ukrainian Friendship Treaty - 1997 - Agreement of the Azov sea and the Kerch strait - 2003 - Russian Ukrainian state border treaty - 2003 -2004. I wouldn't blindly believe the "I did it for money" story. Many of those who say it only do so because they think it will make Ukrainians show leniency towards them. I reality they joined because they actually believe Russia should rule Ukraine. If they just wanted to make money they could have fought on the side of Ukraine.

Even right now they are offering conscripts huge amounts of money to just sign up (Inside Russia channel said it was up to 37 normal russian monthly salaries) and then they also offer huge monthly payments. Of course there are many positions open in russia. So many men missing already, that there is a shortage of workers in every industry! Plus they would make a very good salary for russia's doing in the industry of war supplies. But yeah, they offer SO much for signing to become a soldier, that many sell their souls to the devil and decide to become mass murderers. Their wives dream of how they are going to spend all that money, willing to take the risk. For they don't know how high the risks are. "From russia with love".

You can't judge anything about his character from this video. There is no way to know whether he is lying, telling the truth, saying what he thinks he needs to say to save himself. You certainly can't say he's a nice guy. Personally I think he knows perfectly well that what he did is wrong, but for whatever reason he needed money. He was probably shocked by what he saw and what he was told to do. He's now trying to portray himself by lessening his role, to convince us and himself. But, my opinion is just as pointless as thinking he's a decent guy. You just can't conclude anything from this. The fog of war.

...He telling the truth_ remember Russia is in ~1950 'time , not 2022, or 2024 ! ___ Just like in Winter-war to us, Finland; they came to minus 30 degrees in summercostum_ and died from frost... Now they drive motorcykles to the front / (?). ..and speak nigerian_ in theire walky' talky... If the war would be about weat / land _ China have bought half' of Africa for a less dollar_ so the war is about minerals ; and "tyey are fore sale on market" for a smaller rubel : then the war ~ so the war is about power or control..and 2 of them have gone bad.. The right way to clear this up, with a " not so red face" is to adjust the borders by the voting in parlament in 1990_ so the east = communist, is to Russia, and the rest goes to have a Bo der to EU.. __ copyrighy by me, again, no biggy, just plain simple braining...

Yeah, this sounds like a genius plan, just redraw country lines and let it lie. "'Simple Braining" is exactly what you've got ...🤣

You had better stop taking Russian prisoners. Its July and you have until Nov then the US weapons and financial assistance may stop. These prisoners, once repatriated, are going to be redeployed to the frontline to fulfill their contracts.

@@BlutoandCo no interest in arguing with you, it’s just an opinion.also it could partially be a translation issue, but he changes his story subtly but often. He knew what he was doing way more than he is letting on and understood what it was really like in Ukraine. He comes across as a self serving liar. The only 100% truthful thing he said was he was there for the money. Would have been more honest to just not give the interview.

@@robhughes645Your reaction is very strange...Don't you want the channel to improve? "Last 30 s.."...I am watching KZfaq. Wanting to know what's happening in Ukraine. You are very unproductive...driving fans of Ukraine away...That is extremely stupid...
