Rip astro what a legend you were but us fans still have the memories fly high astro you were here xx and good to see the band in happier times now in 2023 I've loved ub40 since they first started and at my first concert in seeing them in Scotland were I come from back in the 80s I was pregnant with my son but didn't know now he's a 39yr old and loves the music as he's heard it his hole life great memories x

2023 brilliant and 45yrs in the music business as in UB40 original band members sadly 2 of them are no longer with us as in astro legend until the end and Brian Travers rip to you both also seen Ali Campbell getting his name on the Camden walk of fame along with suggs from madness got to say I liked madness back in the 80s and the connection with UB40 original band members and madness is the ska music but well done to all the original band members of UB40 for 45yrs in the music business

Brian RIP Seeing you here epitomised the absolute joy and feeling collectively that you all shared . Despite the split I still absolutely adore UB40. I cant single out anyone as you were all tight a group and historically friends from the get go and that I respect ! Ali left with Mickey virtue in 2008 as he couldn't handle the crap with the management and astro rip left a wee while later to rejoin with Ali and Mickey same thing the rest of the original band members were ready to throw astro under the bus robin and the rest of them are numptys for letting the lead vocalist from the start leave and Mickey virtue and astro rip all because they chose management and in my house it's ub40 ft Ali Campbell lead vocals from the start astro passed away just over a year ago and not one of robins band have mentioned his name at any of there concerts astro rip was a legend and there from the start as well but you have to laugh at robin and Norman Hassan robin didn't want to be in the band at the start and Norman at one of there concerts calling them Judis and saying they don't fucking need them anyway we'll Norman first you had Duncan doing lead vocals the one that played the spoons in there dad's folk band and now it's Matt Doyle not a patch on Ali big love Ali xx

Yvonney the first time I seen this band play was in Scotland my home town and they were fricking brilliant and the band were excellent I was pregnant with my son but didn't know and he's 39 now and a big lover of ub40 atleast he's got my taste lol loves the classic songs of ub40 and thinks Ali's voice is pure class loved astro rip doing his toasting singing Johnny 2 bad with Norman Hassan but he still loves Ali's voice and he liked hearing the musicians as well so yes I did do something right because he's been brought up on this music from the start of his life big love

Ali would never play with robins band again he chose management over the lead vocalist and feel free to all those people that don't agree with what I'm saying but this is a public platform and. Norman Hassan you are the Judis you and Brian rip Jimmy earl all of yous chose a lead vocalist from the start Ali the one with the Midas touch over management Ali and Mickey virtue done the right thing leaving in 2008 because they couldn't take anymore then a wee while later our beloved astro rip left because you lot would have thrown him under the bus and once astro was back with Mickey and Ali he looked a lot happier with being back with them rip astro big love Ali xx and the rest of you robins band hang your heads in shame

@@irisdiaz3229 that is as may be but he quit the band so cant use the name, if he is all that then why cant he sell a record under his own name?He was one part of UB40 and is now stealing the name to sell records.I have no problem with people liking his voice, i have a problem with him stitching up his former band mates.

@@barryjenkins6137 he did a record with his name but when astro and mike left the band and joined ali..they took the name of THE REAL UB 40....and also because Ali gave the name to the band at the begining ( It is a legal issue now)

This is real British reggae I love it when I come across the band members in happier times sadly astro rip is no longer with us and also Brian Travers rip but have to say what a send off astro got in Birmingham in memory of astro rip respect to every single person who was there yous all done astro proud rip astro you were here gone but never forgotten always in our hearts xxx
