My son has autism and didn't sleep well last night. It was a long, tiring day. So I'm snuggling him at bedtime and I hear him reciting something (he has a cute speech impediment) and I recognize Bob Marley lyrics : ) so I put on this song and my boy gets a huge sleepy smile Thanks, Bob.

I loved your comment. I do respite care for a young man who is autistic and almost nonverbal. This is the song we sing together and he mouths every word with a big, beautiful smile on his face. Like you I am grateful to Bob Marley for this classic beautiful song ❤

Our baby boy was in the hospital from the time he was born, waiting for a heart transplant. My husband and I would sing this to him daily. This was our exit song when he was finally released after 7 months of waiting for a heart and 10 months total in the hospital.

This song and what it represented in the era it was released....I understand trying to make money and introducing it to a new audience and I appreciate seeing it in a new format, music is to be enjoyed and not judged. Nixon and crew established the war on drugs in the USA and made Mary Jane a Schedule 1 drug(like LSD or red poppy) to infiltrate the hippies and blacks because said entities didn't believe in the war in Vietnam and were a threat. There were riots in this era before the song came out but there was a shift in thinking and luckily I found weed and beer. What this song meant to me was even though they were suppressing us, thought maybe they would take care of us but they defunded education in the 80's, wages stayed flat and the cost of living increased until you see today increasing homelessness and poverty. Bob REPRESENTED the outcast.

This song still gives me the same comfort and warm feeling after over 3 decades. My father passed away from cancer in 1992 when i was twelve years old. My little sister has been struggling with depression for 3 years. She just turned 17 and this is literally one of her favorite videos to watch when she's feeling low. It's wild how much Bob Marley universally is accepted in any culture or region. I've seen Russian comments, spanish/South American, American and English, etc. Comments on every one of his music videos. Its insane how music can make us feel close just by emotion. This one of my favourite Bob Marley songs always has been . My 5 year old son sang this to me last month for the first time proudly and I was in tears . 🥲🥰. He now sings it when he can sense that I’m worried hugs and kisses me . Aww bless his little heart 💜.

My little sister failed her parking test a couple of days ago because she didn’t know how to parallel park well. She was feeling discouraged.
