I totally agree with you regarding paying for a rental. I rented a car at $230 per week and I did this for almost 8 months. However, I recently stopped renting and started using my car. I recently bought a Honda Civic with very low mileage of 12,130. I don't regret I rented a car for 8 months: first a Chevy Malibu, then a Hyundai Ionic Hybrid, then a Kia Soul Hybrid, and lastly a Kia Niro Hybrid. I really enjoyed the Kia Niro Hybrid. In a few months, I plan on buying a used Kia Niro Hybrid. From now on, I plan to drive part-time. I drive for both Uber and Lyft. I recently purchased a VanTrue 4 dashcam (May 11, 2021), and I noticed that my passengers act differently once they see the camera, most act more conservative which is fine with me. I'll post my video on my channel. Good luck and a great weekend to everyone. Yes, I agree that discipline is very important: your food intake, your exercise, sleep, etc. Driving every day can wear you down but if you take breaks, exercise, and get enough sleep you can actually enjoy it. Be safe out there. 👍

The thing I LOVE about your channel and content is THE DETAILS you go into. The math is right. I'm am ex mechanic and I can promise you that you will get 4 years maximum of good mileage out of a vehicle driving full time before MAJLR issue start happening. I'm talking major repairs and the car wont feel great t to drive. Cars are the single worst investment anyone can make. These rental programs really aren't a bad deal because of the insurance, maintenance, unlimited miles, return the car anytime get another car anytime. I dog the hell put of rental cars so I may never buy another car again.

It's a business expense. Think like your renting a building for a business. Sometimes you don't wanna own just buy a building. So the 1400 a month I rent has to be justified by the income. Even at about 320 a week rental , I can justify that making 1k weekly

Drove the whole 12hrs a few times up in Jersey completed about 15 trips for Uber eats and 11 x was tired af but came home with about $350. Was worth it…the next day I started late to rest up and went back out for another 10hrs. If your going to drive long days make sure it’s worth it Friday’s and the weekends are the best to maximize your hrs on the road atleast for my area. Did 10-12 hrs Memorial Day weekend each day and made close to $1k and took 2 days off to recover after. You can take a day or two off when you’re out rolling for a few days because you make your money. You’re a beast bro appreciate your content how do you make out in the snow is Massachusetts? I was out there helping a hospital for my old job near Boston and it snowed like 20 inches and people were on the road like it was nothing…we get snow obviously in Jersey but usually not like that.

Hey great comment here! Thank you so much for sharing. Love that strategy and totally agree. "Get it while it's hot" If the bonus is good and the surge is poppin I'm staying out and making as much as I can. It does take it's toll so yes, take some time off to recover. The snow is good man, surge is usually poppin when the snow falls. Good time to drive. One good story is when the snow fell overnight in Boston, but all the snow froze and all the cars were frozen in snow. NO ONE could get their car out for work and the whole city was surging double digits for 3 hour straight. Made $400 in the morning, incredible.

Love your content man. I’m going to start doing Uber for my first time in jersey soon. When I heard about the rental program I was hesitant because the weekly pay is $260 to rent the car and I’m sure with the insurance it’ll bump it up. I realized I wasn’t going to save enough money even if I made $1k a week because I’ll have to think about the tolls and gas I’ll be spending on a daily basis. Then I forgot there’s promotions which can literally help us drivers earn more and save more money on the side. Your video had fully convinced me to sign up for the program. I’m hoping it’ll turn out well for me :)

@@TheRideshareHustle is going good so far. Was able to get my own car. It was a bumpy ride for me. In the beginning I wasn’t making much which was expected because is my first time doing it. Down the line I learned that just using one app is not enough to make a decent amount of money especially if one is trying to make $200 a day. I was able to make $150 a day just with ubereats alone now, but is very limited at some days due to the market. Multi apping is def the way to make atleast over $20 an hour. Then again it all depends on the market or algorithms. The market in jersey is really good. Your video also helped me in understanding how this all works. Thank you very much for your knowledge 💪🏽

@@TheRideshareHustle Yes I was only doing ubereats, but now I’m implementing doordash with it as well. For example I got an order for ubereats, while I’m nearby the customer address/place I’ll turn on doordash so it can scope out orders for me while I finish my delivery. That way when I deliver, I have another order to go to right away. But of course I have to make sure the order is a good one. The point of it is that it keeps you busy constantly. 😁

I will be doing the same probably. As i will be returning to IN on tje 13th. Currently in thailand. I was back in the US for few months in 2017 before my mom passed away. But didnt have enough time with her so she could change her house and everything out of the trust and directly to me. And her brother sold everything making sure that i had nothing if i returned which he was 1 of the trustee. He told the other at the time that i said to sell the house because ill never return. Which was not true as i wanted to rent it out till i return. So i will be returning with no car or place to live. I could probably force the trust throufb the courts to buy me a new house since it is in the legal writings that the trust has to act in the best interest of me. Which buy selling the house and car clearly was not trying to make it so i cant return or if i do return with nothing. Over 10 years in asia so credit not going to be as good as it could be amd also no job. So getting a place not be easy especially when can only show 1,100 month income coming from the trust. Though im being reasonable and as long as the current trustees get me into a rent to owm house ill call it even. As its not my house that holds all my memories with my parents which is priceless. But its still a house. I will also be going back to study to become a nurse as well.

OK...now I have a question that maybe most drivers don't want to answer BUT...if you are driving around for 8-12 hrs. a day in a busy city...how do you take care of mother nature? I'm considering driving for Uber as a side gig but I am now starting to develop OAB (over-active bladder). I know there are some life-style changes I can make to help keep it under control which I'll have to figure out before trying to Uber for a week on a rental. This really sucks as it could be a nightmare trying to focus on your driving while having the urge to 'go'.

It’s harder when you’re driving passengers around to neighborhoods but as far as Uber eats , it’s allowed me to stop as many times as I can during deliveries. There’s also a pit stop button on the app so it finds all the gas stations and other stores in close proximity with restrooms to use 😌👍🏽 I hope this helps!

I don't like how over 33% of your profit comes from promotions that don't exist anymore. I'll let it pass since you only worked 50 hours. For anyone else thinking this is an average Uber pay, this is not even close. In CA my quest says 40 trips for $70 and for 10 more trips earn +$5. Yah. They reduced the promotions from $500 down to $100, AND IT HURTS! My area sucks hardcore, or maybe those quests don't exist anymore any where and shouldn't be considered as part of the reason to rent or work for uber.

Do you decline rides from certain neighborhoods? I live in Youngstown, OH and there are some really shady places you don't want to be at night. We had a Domino's Pizza driver get robbed at gun point just down the road from my house a few weeks ago. Could you address driver safety in one of your videos? I know you use a camera, but do you decline rides from certain areas or times for your safety? Do you carry a weapon? I've seen the "uber drive gets assaulted" video from your channel. Do you not pick up rides from bars or stop doing rides at bar closing times. It would probably be better for safety and drama/hassle reasons to not pick up the 2am crowd, but you probably leave a lot of money on the table....what do you think?

ok 1 thing about insurance when not working for uber you want non owner non registrered insurance because a whopping insane charge from hertz avis or enterprize will set you back almost $1000 a month and the cost of gas also say $90 per week and you only allowed to drive 6 hours eeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk you be working to pay the rental and that it maybe have 100$ a week for self so i asked berto om live call am i allowed to do other things when not working for you! YES anything to earn money is allowed like picking up lost luggage at airports or work for delivery of food and other stuff which i did when i had a car but i think becuse havent worked for them over 4 months might have to strt ll over gin any way i predict daily earnings 3 or 4 days a week like easy $450 and stay under 1950.00 a month

How do they deduct the pay ? Can you choose to be deducted from your credit card instead of the app wallet?

Great info but $3K for year maintenance its kind of unreal but yes you can save a lot in insurance. At least in Orlando FL full time is not worth it.

@@joncruz~60K miles just in oil changes around $500-$600 (depends on type of oil and filter) New tires another $500-$800 Transmission fluid change $200-$400 Brakes? $200-$300 Cabin and engine filters $60-$100 That's around $1400 then next year shocks/struts, Alternator, Sensors He has an SUV so his cost is higher. So how much you pay in 1. oil, 2. Filters, 3. brake job, 4 transmission fluid change and 5. tires? You either forgot to change something or it isn't $850. Even if you do your own oil changes. I have a question, is there a limit to where you can take your car for personal uses? Like if i wanted to take an hour long drive to visit some family will that be doable. And are you limited to driving fo uber only around the place you picked up the rental?

Good question I was thinking same thing. but technically you are renting the car so I would assume so. just do a couple hours ubar when you're there if feeling uneasy lol

Good day sir i love your videos. Ive been driving for a few years now im in the atlanta market where its always busy! Ive been wrecking my brain because i cant make my mind up on a good vehicle that would cover all platforms besides uber black because they are not accepting anymore in this market. Any suggestions? Thanks

Good day! Thank you for commenting. I was talking about this in one of my other videos. I really like a hybrid mini-van. The reason being, you can save on gas, stay busy with Uber X, Uber Eats, and Uber XL, Lyft XL. A luxury or Black car is too expensive and not enough rides, and also to your point that Uber is not accepting any more accounts at this time. Let me know if that makes sense

Thank you Dude for your videos. I want to drive uber and lyft in order to get rid off some debts and save some money for few things that I want in short period of time. I don't have a car and I'm trying to gather the whole information and jump into this thing next month. Of course I don't want to do that the whole time but... It looks is the obvious choice for me at the moment. So... Thank You Again!!! #Blessings4You&Family🙏🙏🙏

Do you think it's better to rent from the uber program or getting a 2008-2010 Camry/Corolla in terms of maintenance and which is better for your pockets long term
@TheRideshareHustle

Thats a great question! Thank you for asking. Long term is better to own your own car. If you can get something newer I think would be better for maintenance. What city are you driving in?

Go with buy a car like that. Is 1000% better especially good vehicles like those and under $7K. I have a 2008 Camry Hybrid and 2012 Camry. Had bought those to resell them (that's what I also do) and then started doing deliveries this year and then both rideshare and deliveries. Sometimes 0 hours a week, sometimes 80 hrs a week. Took July and August off. Now ready to work some. I'm going to rent a Highlander for a week and see what's the difference in pay with XL. If it's worth it, I'll buy the Hybrid one and use it mainly on weekends/airport rides and the Camrys on weekdays. I've thought about renting them but I cant trust a random person taking care of my vehicle.

DEPENDING ON YOUR MARKET AND EXPENSES, THEY WILL LIKELY PUSH YOU INTO A TESLA. YOU WILL PROBABLY NEED TO BE IN YOUR RENTAL FOR ABOUT 60 HOURS/WK. AT LEAST FOR STARTERS. ONCE YOU LEARN YOUR MARKET, THE TRICKS OF THE TRADE, AND YOUR CAPABILITIES YOU CAN PROBABLY CUT THAT DOWN SOME. PLUS IT IS NICE TO DRIVE A TESLA, ESPECIALLY ONCE YOU LEARN MORE AND MORE OF WHAT IT HAS TO OFFER. THIS OF COURSE DEPENDS ON THE AVAILABILITY OF CHARGING STATIONS, ESPECIALLY SUPERCHARGERS TO AVOID USING UP TIME/MONEY ON SLOW CHARGERS. ALSO CHEAPER TO CHARGE OFF-PEAK BETWEEN MIDNIGHT AND 4AM, BUT CAN PUT AT LEAST A HUNDRED MILE CHARGE FOR LESS THAN GAS IN ABOUT 15-20 MINUTES ANYWHERE YOU CAN CHARGE...AND THE TESLA WILL DIRECT YOU THERE. SELECT "NAVIGATE TO CHARGE" TO NOT ONLY FIND A STATION BUT THIS ALSO PREPARES THE TESLA TO CHARGE QUICKER. ONE OF SO MANY WONDERFUL FEATURES.
