Yea, riders aren't getting any deals either. We used to get 65 percent. I don't know that for sure, but I have some good sources. I just know we made a lot more per trip. Also the same car I had then, I have as now, except newer model and nicer, used to be a Comfort, now the newer nicer one is not considered a Comfort.

When I assess the situation and requested a xl upgrade on the 2nd time I ever requested, they denied me xl upgrade because they said I didn't pick up 5 passengers! If I determine that my passenger should pay more for all the stuff they are using my car for, including lying to go-go grandparent that they have a "service dog" with them, and it turns out to be a WOOF brand electronic dog out of the package and sitting in the loaded shopping cart, then it's time to set these 3rd party app requesters for THEIR customers straight! Uber should not be able to give our services away for free, nor make us pick up passengers who claim they have "service animals" with them, when they don't, further intimidating drivers thru the app by letting the 3rd party requester (account owner "Guest R,") send links to drivers in the app to click on and cancel the ride "if you feel you can't handle the request." Uber now allows go-go-grandparent to put LINKS IN THE APP IN THE MESSAGING AREA. Seriously??!! This does not sound good. Something don't look right!!

That's exactly what's happening now. They can't keep up with the lawsuits, so they're charging the riders a GRIP and then paying drivers NOTHING out of it, basically. I was seeing $104 rides for 20 miles on Uber Black yesterday. Same ride on UberX was like $28. Thing is, the drivers in each case would get HALF or less. I would do that Black ride for $75 cash and do the UberX for $35 cash in my clean cars. If they didn't wanna pay, they can Pandora's Box their ass around town with pigeons in busted ass cars that ain't go no car note. LOL!

I think their software modifications to manipulate drivers around an existing surge has escaped from the barn. It now seems to select medium distance over closer distance out of the box for all rides.

It's like 300 miles there...almost 4.5hrs on the app. That's almost a 10hr drive total and 600 miles...for $200 with NO pings coming in Vegas for us! I would have to do that ride for $1k in CASH just to make it right!

They always shadow-ban me and suspend me. I wont take their nature hikes and they know I'm converting any rides that are backwards to where I'm not getting paid, but they are. If the apps wanna make money, they better pay me well. Otherwise, I'm paying myself well.

I haven't received any reservations for months. I finally got one today, and wow have uber been price shaving. They didn't even add the $15 reservation fee. I used to do reservations all day long. If this is the new prices then I'm done with reservations

Yup. I got a few reservations for around $8. Who reserves a ride for $8?? They're gonna hold your phone down for 20mins to make sure you get the reservation picked up, then you gotta do a 15 to 20min trip for $8. That's like 40 mins or so, for $8. I decline all scheduled rides and reservations now. Not worth it! If a rider wants to schedule a ride, call a driver directly!! Pay them the money and get picked up, for sure.

The surge is for the apps to pocket. Drivers dont get paid the huge markeup going on. Surge is $8 and riders are being charged up to $20/mile for a ride. The driver gets $7/mile for a 2 mile ride, giving him $14 out of the $40 charged. The apps says SURGE PRICING. It's all gouging.

I literally showed a Canadian passenger how to tip in the app, the tip was $20. I never received it. And I literally assisted the man with leaving the tip. Support said he could have took it back.

I let riders know that we're contractors and we can negotiate if they need a ride. I don't force them to choose me. I just give them an option. Most choose me because they want the car, the service, and the price. That's business. They could say NO and choose another driver if they wanted to.

Yup we talked about that in the Rideshare Lisa Discord group. We dont wanna all put our phone numbers in a comment on KZfaq, so we all use back-end systems to stay in touch with each other. We all got phone numbers of drivers in different cities, see if a rider wants to stay with a trusted driver or use the app.

Wridz doesn't offer manual rides. I have a lot of private clients so I need commercial insurance. $1/day for insurance on HUM to make $400/day is my play right now. My private clients got me busy from the time I get in the car. HUM insures me for all that.

Yup. Like you said earlier, they force you to dip to X. I put my app on low settings just to see if I'm on the app and BAM: instant pings on the lowest tiers. I decline and go back up to the higher tiers. LOL! They want to try to get us to take the lower rates, but we gotta fight back. I know that with our trucks, we need a good amount of money to pay for LIFE plus to keep these trucks gassed up. We have to stay high, even if that means convert rides into private rides. Taking the lower paying rides will kill our opportunity to get an upper tier ride that pays better, and they know it. They want to flood our phones with lower paying rides in bigger vehicles, and we ain't falling for that.

Only do x at airport to get priority que and it better b a decent ride or decline. An x fare will not get in my lincoln unless it's a $10-20 surge or which is nonexistent $6 boost with a surge. X pays nothingness I feel for the driver especially the fools that drive in rush hour traffic for upfront fares no extra $$

I used to do the same...snag an X when I had a bigger surge. We don't get that surge now, so my airport is basically dead. I only do drops there and that's it.i did a pickup the other day and it was on HUM and I was paid $38 for like 15 miles...on basic sedan. That's the only way I can do a pickup. X was killing me.

My oldest brother and youngest sister got CDLs. I had DMV Genie on my phone for the longest time to look into getting mine. You right. Time to open that option up and get me an F350 with a trailer. I can do car auction hauling from state to state, as well. All these dealerships buyjng AZ cars due to little to no rust. Haulers doing ok.

@@Fred63205 I slept big time on it. I know I fcked up on it. I should've did it back in 2019 and in early 2022 when my big brother warned me SHIT was changing...JEFF GET IT NOW OR NEVER. He called it. They doing this so the government can control logistics. Uber is a part of the government agenda for moving people. The CDL stuff is for food and items, and for controlling what people have. Right now, banks all over the world are limiting CASH HANDLING and going digital so they can control financial power and how people move. Folks ain't paying attention, man. I know I slept on that CDL and that's all I know.
