Lol. My longest Uber drop off was From Boston to New York. I was shocked to see the drop off location that I had to double confirm with the rider to make sure it was correct..and it was. This was years ago when I was doing Uber full time. I only accepted the ride because it was my first ride of the morning and I thought why not just take this first ride and I’ll be all set for the day. That was like a $400 ride, I wasn’t mad at it, plus I did a little exploring around New York after the drop off. Lol

Non-car people look at a check engine light and think “oh my god its totalled” when in all reality it could just be a simple sensor or switch. Maybe even the o2 sensor wich is pretty common on some cars. Doesn’t mean you are in for a terrible ride lol.

I had THREE 15 minute pick ups within the first 5 mn of being online the other day, just took the last one that was like 14mn. i have a 4.95 rating, 90% acceptance, 2% cancellation (working on it ;). Diamond. Im appalled at how much they expect us in this market to drive for pickups. Its wild. Soon as I get this 350. Them numbers going wild

When you accept everything the algo will keep lowering the payout. if you take a ten dollar ride for 6 why pay you 10 from now on. the algo learns you and pays you 6 from now on.

2024 uber does show up front pricing in los angeles however, they do not show the total paid by the passenger, so you can never know if they're lying abt "70/30 split" except you can they always take 50% up to 80%

The sad thing is he is missing it totally. All of those people would be more than willing to offer an outstanding tip to go out of your way to pick them up that far. I've been known to get Triple the rate offered just because I took that 20 minute pick up even if they were going 5 minutes away. It's all in how you sell your service. This guy's a child.

I have simlar issue. I live in long island. I get the long trips 45+ 107 min drive. Drives that take you to jfk,lga airports, manthattan, new jersey or the 5 Burrows. Problem is that you can drop them off but you cant pick up unless you have a tlc. And with traffic and tolls not worth it. Passgeners get upset.

Your acceptance rate is prob at 20 percent. Used to do this until I became a 💎 gotta kept that acceptance rate low my guy. 2 percent for me

There are few recent unfair treatments of ratings. Probably due to a new rule in NYC where paid vacation is required by Uber. Few folks have indicated they send riders who ask personal questions and then passenger rates you lowered ratings. So then RAINN sends you messages hence blocking your account. Hence no paid vacation.
