another tip... load all torps tubes , and then once they are all loaded, go buy more to refill storage...so you will be carrying double the torps. 2 in the rear

Have seen a bunch of these Uboat vids from wolfpack but this is the first time I have stumbled across his first video for it. The youtber and game have both grown a bit since 5 years ago.

Manually take control of the guy and sit him down at the hydrophone if he won't go there.

if you click the box that says "unknown group spotted" or whatever it says, WHILE you have a working radio operator...you can send those messages and get a little cash... dont wait to do this... you can lose them if you start new situations.... also moral underwater can be slowed by playing CARDS. ok hope this helps

Its amazing how far your wake can be seen from. In the Med your wake seems to be seen from even farther away, even at night.

You want to keep the hatches open to be able to pump water out of the main area where it’s most efficient... closing hatches is last resort not pre-emptive - hence probably why it’s not intended to close them all at start

These types of sub games are interesting in a in-depth kind of way.it's not just the usual war fighting it's actually living on it Inbetween and taking care of its seperate areas that's why I love it.

lol!!! each room in bottom left is a few floating boxes.... one looks like a electrical bolt one looks like a water drop... those are functions for the entire room.... toggle the power and bail water in that room only.... you clicked it by accident.

Really glad I found your channel. After seeing your Cold Waters EPIC mod vids, I started checking this one out and so far enjoying it as well. I picked up UBOAT when it released in EA but never really got into it. This is making me want to reinstall and give it another go! Absolutely LOVED SH5 and I'm still in love with cold waters, so I'm sure once I get over the learning curve, I would enjoy UBOAT as well. Side note (I know this video isn't about cold waters), but I installed the EPIC mod for CW last night and started a US campaign for the first time. Tried playing it the way I play vanilla campaigns and the very moment I launched a torpedo in the general direction of the ~8 contacts I had identified... a russian sub counter fired 4 torpedos and 2 stallions (or whatever they're called) right at me. That was INSANE.... then I imploded due to exceeding crush depth about 10 minutes later. My bad for mixing up meters and feet. lol Great content sir, I'm really loving it!

one other thing... if you hold "TAB" you can have a NEW way to play..as far as sending crew members to different locations. just hover over the crew icon while holding tab.... and you get a quick pick drop down menu. lol we are all new here. hope this helps... Also.... run electric as much as possible... using the fuel to recharge batteries... you can go for 10k miles or more. just dont dive with low charge...lol could be your last move. hence the upgrade i cannot do, but i have resources for...lol ... it will allow me to recharge at periscope depth.

May have messed up by turning on diesel decompresser while you were on surface trying to evade. I think the morale is too aggressive needs more balancing, negative effects for depth even at periscope depth? It’s a Sub! and a sub crew should be second nature, negative effects should take effect at deeper depths for longer periods of time. Needs tweaking at least a longer time for morale overall. Also you seem to forget your pause at times and your rushed. At the bottom of each compartment are small icons, for evac the section (closes hatches), power, help bail out the compartment by crew. Nice effort.

Didn't do this game to well, but its alright since you're quite new at it and its understandable :) However was entertaining (and bit painful at times) watching you well just steam roll right in to Gibraltar with almost all your officers sleeping meeting the whole Allies Navy ) Which almost payed off for some reason slipping passed radar running at surface...then attack em while you almost miraculous slipped away in a clunky 360 maneuver getting depth charged xD Nws ive seen more experienced streamers do the same under pressure ^^ Lots of love and keep it up. Im sure your next one is gonna be better as you grow as an captain. You can lock compartments out by clicking on an icon under em then they evacuate that area and such. Can also higher the moral by prepping different food to the chef and as mentioned playing cards. To add manual shooting is also really cool. Anyways love how the devs has reach out with this creative game and it contains a really large map with a lot of cool surprise features within. Also you can send divers, demolition, security breach transportation over etc etc which make it dynamic. I mean its already a really cool game in Alpha stage and for me that is really something these days. For me its def already a classic and worth a buy

Can you determine the amount of crew management you have to deal with? I would think most of these menial tasks should be farmed out to your most senior officers.

It says not enough crew simply cuz you have dead crew and your ship is not being operated with full crew member.

Try sitting on the bottom and shut down everything. See if that works next time you get hemmed in .

I've only seen 3 episodes of this series, and now I'm itching to go through the list to see them all. My only complaints? Backwards loading order with the newest episodes showing and going backwards to the oldest in the UBOAT playlist. That, and being bad at math so I cannot quite go out and play this game myself, but that just means I get ta watch ya do it instead.

Any chance you can bring this series back, I saw this game on the steam store, for a decent price curious what updates they added to it or if the game play is better as it still says early access...

Is it maybe they don't want to be on the hydrophone because of the depth charges? It takes around 15 mins after a depth charge explosion before you can get accurate signals again.. At least in real life. Plus it would be kinda loud lol.

torpedoes were not duds you were too close,they activate at least 350m away

you can also aim manually, that way a quick shot might be easier

How do you upgrade? i tried.. i have the 2 coins. It say i need to goto headquarters to upgrade... i was in the port and i have 3 choices.... Warehouse, recruitment, and leading officer. I choose the only choice i have, using the Leading officer.. .and nothing happens... i can highlight the box, but to click "BUY"... nothing happens. any advice? i am at Wilhelmhaven port, btw

Wouldn't qualified crewmen already be assigned to shifts, for instance on sonar, helm, etc? Doesn't seem the captain should have to be telling random guys to go to the listening station, or reload torpedoes.

Sorry but Wolfpack is much more realistic and thrilling. Finding the Prey, approaching and Inserting manually the torpedo solutions is simply more fun.....at least for me

Watched this yesterday and thought about it. Odd looking game. Very few crewmen. No one seems to have regular duty stations or battle stations. Much too much clicking and ordering folks. Close the door. Put your pants on. Run down the hall. Pick up the broom. Your crew seem to be robots with no intelligence or artificial intelligence. I did not get the impression that I was watching Das Boot, when I watched your play through. More like Captain Kangaroo. Watched it anyway, for the sake of your commentary.

Maybe you needed to recruit more crew members. The 5 officers shown on the bottom right are not the whole crew...

you're doing everything wrong with the destroyers over your head ... its at that moment that you should be hearing a pin drop

This game looks to me like there is too much micro managing. The ai seems incapable of resolving problems on its own

this isn't a submarine simulator, it's daycare simulator 2020: U-boat edition!

This is old and all that, but that was full of poor management and poor decisions. When I played I didn't find the controls bad at all, it's fairly simple, it's what you get when you don't explore around the games controls and ui first before getting out there. It might be more entertaining in a way I guess. There were some bugs displayed, and few annoying things but those could have been fixed with the previous point though of exploring controls, ui.. Lucky the weather was that bad in the first half of the night, that's why you managed to go that far. Going to continue with the rest of the episodes in playlist now to see what we get, tho it's only 6 episodes.

All this detail, but still they can't get the flags right... What is it with these gamedevs these days? Are they afraid to get struck by lighting if they depict a swastika or something?

The game is nonsense. It is not that it is an early access, it is an unfinished pre-alpha version, a succession of errors and bugs that are not worth the 22 euros that they ask for it or as a joke. Why do not you talk about it to potential buyers?

Sorry not impressed with this EA game. Too much micro-management of officers for my liking. All officers would have assigned duties for normal time, battle stations, diving and surfacing the boat. I also don't like the buy food/torps type game. War by corporation as if its a business. Morale/discipline falls because the Boat dives deep? They are submariners aren't they? No sorry not my thing. I just got this crappy game,yes crappy because within half an hour I realised why should I be messing about with this god awful designed over complicated mind numbing mess of a submarine simulator ,I"ll save my sanity be reinstalling SH3,well designed and get straight into patrol no fuss no bother and hunt ships..
