In this video I show my upgrades to the standard Uco match kit. You should always try to set yourself up for success. Always use what works for you.

Thanks man great to hear you again. I live WVa and always enjoyed your videos on the school of the Longhunters. I never had the privilege to meet you there but maybe one day. The kit idea is a great one and I haven’t seen one with the iconic matches great new idea. Keep going. I wouldn’t mind seeing some videos of your dogs work too. Thank you again.

Well thanks! I'm glad you liked and you know everyone could can modify it however to suit themselves for what works for them. I might show some dog work but honest that's my escape time if you follow. SOL is a good time and I need to get back maybe this year

True story: I binged alot of your videos during the pandemic. I later began noticing “things of that nature” became part of my normal vocabulary. Once it was brought to my attention that I was beginning to say it, I was wondering where I got it from. Now I remember 😂

Good to see you back!!! I do something similar but use those smaller orange plastic watchcases available most anywhere. I cut a little off the UCO matches and put the striker and matches along with a needle and thread, couple of those little waxed tinders a button compass on top with a bit of cotton in the lid to stop rattling. It rides better in my pocket than the bigger UCO case.

Glad to see you back! Their matches are the best going. Many kudos to you and your dogs. It's always great to get outdoors. I miss Grouse hunting in the mountains of Virginia. the coyotes have all but wiped them out. In the winter, the day after deer season ends the US Forest Service in their great wisdom, close all the access roads until Spring...prevents us from hunting the coyotes all together, not to mention firewood cutting is closed off as well.

That's a shame, I with states had better practices for conservation of grouse habitat. I know I have to drive distance to find good numbers. This year with the pup it's been mostly pheasant and training chukars. At least they let us take yotes out. Thanks for watching and your comment bro.

Good to see you brother! I’ll trade you on the weather for a bit! We had negative temps for a couple of weeks now on the positive side of the thermometer. Have had quite a bit of snow but the tundra has been wind blown and isn’t the best for snowshoeing. I miss the woods.

We've been so super mild it's not funny, we had a couple of cold days, bummed out for winter camping. Maybe a trip North coming up. I feel you pain though negative Temps are no joke. Keep after it, thanks muchly

I used duct tape to create a double sided cover for the external striker board. With electrical tape to hold it in position. Helps to protect it from abrasion and moisture.
