You literally can't take away any one guy and stop the machine. Sonogo only had 10 in the Gonzaga game, and we know what happened there. Even in this game. Hawkins limited w/a stomach bug, Jackson on the bench for most of the first half, and Sonogo still fasting for Ramadan- 13 point halftime lead. They are unreal.

They have had very little offense this tournament and have just now begun to improve by putting up 72 tonight. However, on any day, that can all change. San Diego State is likely gonna always be stingy on defense, and so, if they can just start hitting their shots consistently, it's a whole new ball game.

I texted my nephew on December 14th and said nobody will hang with uconn if they play just decent. They don't even have to play good or great just decent and noone will beat them.

Unconn played very good and have one of the biggest teams out there. Miami actually did not play a very good game at all. They had tons of missed layups and easy shots. I was not going to say anything about the game but Machu you mentioned Miami getting free trips, a foul is a foul and when fouled, you get trips to the free throw line. Miami was literally hacked last night many times and there was no fouls called. UConn was walking and carrying the ball all over the court but no calls. I do feel and accept the loss but when a team has that kind of pressure, you cannot beat a team and the refs. It’s impossible.
