Is Jelutong eaisier to work then Basswood? Or about the same. It's not really common in Canada but I have seen some specialty wood supplies carry it in the past. Thanks for another great lesson.

They're pretty much the same. Where I live, Jelutong is cheaper than Basswood. Thank you!👍🎉

These characters are from Harold Enlow. You should give credit to the creator. He is a legend among carvers!

Most carvings are based on someone elses work. Just look around Pintrest at people copying others designs. Mr. Enlow may have got his ideas based off some other flat plain carver. He carved in different styles so perhaps this is not a direct copy and more of an influence of the style.
