Its not lacking track control buttons, theres no buttons at all! just tap the top of the speaker with the palm of your hand to pause/play. Double palm tap it to play the next song and triple palm tap it to play the previous song.

Great review, I have it and was honestly shocked at the volume and the quality, strong-strong. I like it and eventually plan to get a 2nd one.

Because of you i bought this impressive speaker, this review convinced me to buy the UE MEGABOOM which is very , very loud ! A lot of people can't imagine that the sound is coming out from this speaker ! So loud and clear! Yes , expensive but the battery , the waterproof and shockproof functionality , the design and solid feel, and the ability to be controlled from the application, made this speaker one of the best products in this category ! I love it when i wake up , open the application and start the megaboom just from my phone ! Also the equalizer is a big plus ! This speaker is truly amazing!

Great video bro...I got mine in Red Lava and I have to tell man this thing rocks, it worth every single penny. One of the gadgets that I do love more. I bought it and I am impressed with everything. Sound quality, and also the simplicity and its robustness.

Actually it does have pause/play and skip controls. You need to hold it in one hand and give the top a tap, its got an accelerometer built in. One tap with pause/play and 2 taps will skip to next song

You can play and puase by slaping the top of the speaker. Slap twice and skip a track. I thought it was ridiculous but it's true.

I just got one of these things for Christmas!! If you are on the fence of buying it, I say you definitely should. There is nothing better than this one in my opinion.

We have a pool, boat & kayak so this is a real nice fit for us. I just ordered one, but we'll have to wait until May since evidently they are backordered. It's already water time in Austin.

4:15 the difference between 2 speakers and shared stereo is, you can either mirror the sound to each speaker, or have one playing the left channel, and one playing the right

I have that thing. Its really portable, durable, and it sounds good. I just got the JBL Xtreme. While its big and sounds better than the Megaboom, its not as portable as the Megaboom and not waterproof (its splashproof). I'll more likely have the Megaboom when I travel and the JBL Xtreme at home.

You can check the battery level in the app by pressing the speaker also.

A tad bit distorted on the ue mega boom when you did the test. Just barely noticeable

if its not a bother, can you try playing it through auxillery and checking if its any different? i just recieved my megaboom and it sounds much lower in aux than on bluetooth yet the unit it self sounds outstanding.

You actually can skip song (next song/previous song) by tapping the top of the speaker. Not pressing anything! No buttons! Use your whole palm and just slam across the whole top of the speaker twice! its a hidden feature, that only works some of the time

I just received my megaboom and it is not emitting sound from the bottom portion of the speaker. I only hear sound played from the top portion. Is this the way it is supposed to be or was I send a broken speaker?

Just getting on the UE bandwagon now, I believe you cap wack the top of the speaker once to play and pause, and twice quickly to skip the track. I've heard it's pretty iffy though, an you need to pick it up to do so.

if u think thats good check ot the altec lansing omni jacket and omni jacket ultra. more durable than the megaboom 3x the battery and louder. plz do a review and comparison. thank you

quick question..Why The UE Megaboom would cut off in the middle of songs while pairing up to a nexus 6 using the pandora one app? I know for a fact that the phone works with other speakers no problem, also I exchanged the UE megaboom twice just to make sure it wasn't defective. I went to best buy talked to Geek Squad and they couldn't figure it out. I really want to get the UE megaboom. Please let me know what choices DO I HAVE... if any. Thank you! LUCILA

Legit!! Bought one last weekend. Awesome sound and compared to JBL, Bose and other speakers, this one had the cleanest sound and bear mix of bass to treble. Can also double pair for large or multiple rooms. One thing I have not figured out yet is if I can pair this speaker with smart TV w Bluetooth capability.
