nunes looks drained as hell...this cut to 135 is NOT easy for her. Val is a small for 135. i think if nunes don't get her out of there half way through the 2nd she's in big trouble and i do not see getting her out of there that early, Bullet too good of a striker.

Amanda is natural athlete with excellent power and technique in her punches. Her BJJ and her ground and pound are scary good and on top of that she's so big! I hope this fight lives up to the potential of both these talented hard working women!

People are saying she gassed out, but she was striking pretty hard on the pads at first and then she went hard at a steady pace for a long time and was looking great. It's going to be a badass fight!

Amanda seems to be dragging her feet in this workout and the weight cut may be taking a toll on Nunes. Valentina on the other hand doesn't cut weight she never lets her weight get above 140 so the normal cardio problems associated with cutting weight doesn't really effect Shevchenko But Nunes looks like she has put on some considerable muscle. Something no one ever considers either is if these ladies are on their cycle this can cause water retention and make it so much harder on the female fighters to cut the necessary weight, Former Strikeforce Champion Marloes Coenen talked about struggling to make 135 before title fight against Sarah Kaufman in 2010 because of her cycle. But if you watch both Nunes' and Shevchenko's open workouts Amanda looks drained and slow maybe because of the weight cut while Valentina looks on point and ready to fight. But I'm excited for this fight and anything can happen, this should be a barn burner!!!

Shevchenko is a highly tuned athlete with her mind and heart 100% set on taking the belt, but if she wants it, she's going to have to bring the fight of her life. This is going to be a war, I can't wait.

I've been rooting for Valentina but looking at this video she looks really loose, relaxed and confident...I see it as a close fight like the last one but Amanda takes it

Styles make fights. for me this is technique and endurance versus technique and raw power. Add their personal history and it's a very interesting match-up IMO. I do think that some people underestimate Nunes though. She is a fighter who is quickly evolving. Schevchenko is a bit more settled and matured into her style. It makes Nunes more unpredictable for this fight. In her earlier fights I thought Nunes was very one-dimensional, but I think she has cleaned a lot of that up and expanded her repetoire.
