Antonina usually fights at 135 and has fought at 145. I think similar to Till she wants to fight Lighter people until she perfects her take down defense.

shinbudo ane Antonina is not as good as Valentina, she’s more sloppy, she’s slower, and she’s less accurate, she’s also a lot easier to hit. There’s a few good fighters in the division who I see being able to beat Antonina. Everyone knows Valentina is to be avoided at all costs though.

The beating she put on that girl in Dana White's Contender series was brutal! The last time I saw someone use knees from the clinch like that was Anderson Silva against Rich Franklin. Very skilled.

@@maryf720 i wouldnt say antonina gets hit more we are use to watching val sit back and counter punch because thats where shes most dangerous antonina is more agressive and pressures her opponents so she can get into the clinch where she has a big advantage because of her height and reach so she is obviously going to get hit more Go back and watch all her fights in muay thai/K1/ mma she is always the faster more accurate striker

shinbudo ane Antonina definitely does get hit a lot more, she’s not as crisp with her punches or her kicks and she’s definitely a lot slower than Valentina. Antonina is more aggressive and pressures more but she’s a much easier fight than Valentina, Antonina isn’t as good at keeping the fight standing up either.

rated21hbbhh both Nunes and Cyborg have amazing striking, Cyborg better wrestling and ground, but while you can call Valentina’s last takedowns ‘sloppy looking’ she still held control and has what looks like the most well rounded arsenal ever in women’s MMA. Rare indeed! Her distance closing is next level! That footwork!

Yeah, I do. Cyborg does not have Valentina’s ability to move her body. Power is one aspect of athleticism and the only thing Cyborg has.

Arguably the power of Cyborg trumps Valentina's ability to move her body as superior athleticism, especially at a sport where strength and raw power is most important to winning and even more so at Women's featherweight. Go see Cyborg's training regimen, and I still side to Cyborg being more athletic. Heck she gave Tito a hard time at wrestling.

The big problem is Valentina doesn't underestimate anybody. If this was Rousey or Miesha it might be different but its tough to beat Valentina. I'm not really sure Amanda has even done it. The first fight Amanda was complete exhausted and couldn't fight back. The second fight Amanda didn't get tired but I scored it for Valentina.

Yeah I was actually really relieved when she made it known that she was taking her fight with Nicco seriously despite most fans already writing Montano off. I'd hate to see her lose embarrassingly due to being cocky.

There's a reason why Dana is always saying "don't let it go to the judges" Because he knows damn well they makes their decisions based on what he wants to happen. Valentina has way more tools in the tool box than Nico does. Its really just that simple. Anything can happen in an MMA fight with 4 oz gloves, but Valentina is really good at distance and not getting knocked out. Conversely it sounds like Nicos strategy is just gonna be to try and take Valentia down where its a more even fight. But Valentia knows this, so shes just gonna have to stuff those take downs and keep it standing. Which is easier to do than what Nico has to do to win imo. I don't see Valentia losing this, but I do think its gonna be a much better fight than people are giving Nico credit for. Its gonna go a couple rounds at least probably, barring the odd round 1 KO or submission by either fighter..
