Rob is such a role model. Got humbled. Didn’t rush. Took his time, worked on himself. Beat three dangerous opponents. Fought to a razor close decision with the person who beat him - lost, but still smiling still positive, still respectful.

Anyone can charge another fighter enough times to score a take down. It’s not exactly sticky floor in there which annoys me and others because the fighters look like they have battle the matt also. But if you can’t pound on the ground and the other fighter systematically gets up with out damage I personally see points for the the fighter getting up quick. It kinda nulls it in my opinion to where the take down is only a fraction of that attack score. You need to capitalize on the ground. If he did that Bobby Knuckles would have shocked the world last night. Great fight still!

A huge attribute of Izzy's that was especially on display tonight is his able to make it seem like he's actually winning fights by a greater margin that what he actually may be. He looks poised and unfazed, whereas his opponents seem a little more stressed out. His opponents also seem to exert a lot more effort than he does when it comes to implementing their offense. He and Whittaker both landed punches that should theoretically score the same, but Izzy's just looked cleaner and crisper, as if to say "this is easy work". Rob had to dash in more frantically.

*I had Whittaker winning 48-47! The commentary was very biased.* Adesanya only landed the flash knockdown in Round 1, and then nothing else except point striking, and a few body kicks which Whittaker started avoiding later in the fight. Whittaker consistently countered Izzy with the stiff jab all night long, esp. whenever Adesanya committed to going forward. Whittaker landed numerous takedowns [and had a submission attempt] despite lack of control time, and still landed his own shots. If their arm and leg reach were identical, Whittaker wins comfortably.

Multiple takedowns? A takedown score is only when you take down your opponent and HOLD him down for more than 2 secs like rob did. He took him down and izzy popped right back up. It does not count as a takedown if you have 0 control. And you if you score thoose as takedowns, then defending a takedown should also be scored and izzy would be 30 points up. S

A lot of people saying it wasn't even close. I watched the fight without the commentary and with music instead. This i think made the fight seem a lot closer to me and I really thought rob edged it out. He wasn't super effective, but was more active and had more success. After round 1 he could have taken every single round potentially. Izzy did a really good job of staying composed and pressuring and most importantly not showing weakness when rob hurt him. However he missed most big shots and could not really toch rob with anything but legkicks. And in my opinion I would score the takedowns higher than a few legkicks. But I also do realize is that I am a little bit biased for rob. I feel like he did enough tho. Not a whole lot. But enough as in more than izzy.

I believe although Robert was at his peak in the fight but I guess he could have been better if he didn't focused to much on boxing and could have done better in wrestling part. I said so because when he was pushing for puching Izzy, he could have mixed it with double leg because Izzy was moving backword with his hands up, plus he could have attacked on body much more because Izzy has excellent head movements. So head hunting all the time was not the good move. But he fought well than anyone else in the division against the champ Izzy and TBH he made him look defeatable. On the top of that I'm no expert 😂
