Izzy and Usman fight would never happen just for the Nigerian brotherhood thingy between them. Both of them are aware of how it would affect their personalities in Nigeria. Maybe some ridiculous amount. But the chances of that fight is zero. Having lived in Nigeria, I understand why they wouldn't fight.

I am Nigerian, went to Collage in Usman's hometown (Fed. Polytechnic Auchi), we are both from the same State (Edo State), Isreal is from Abeokuta Ogun State, next door from ours, we are brothers, we don't fight for Money, i KNOW that fight will NEVER Happen.

I'm born and bred in London, but Nigeria is where my roots are. Seeing these African champs sticking to a no fighting eachother rule and deciding to dominate the UFC as champions... Is truly remarkable. Izzy and Usman are already top 3 greatest of all time in their own divisions. Truly beautiful. We're witnessing this generations version of Anderson Silva and GSP with Izzy and Usman... and We've never seen anything like Francis

Don't be happy so soon. The 2 champs are working for the same company (Endeavor) and their long-term contracts, which Izzy recently renewed, stipulates that a fighter shall not dispute the decisions of the match-makers to the detriment of the company's business. Izzy vs Usman is a superfight that would make the company at least 7 figures. That said, whatever makes money makes sense to Dana White and he has the final say.

I’m an Izzy fan, but I’m not sure I would agree. Kamaru has got great striking these days and lets not forget about the wrestling. If Jan could beat Izzy I don’t see why Kamaru wouldn’t. I think we can at least all agree the fight would be one of the best fights (quality wise) of all time though.

Plus, the LW division of today is way stronger than the divisions those other “GOATs” competed in. Silva’s MW division in particular was pathetic. My biggest criticism is the lack of variety of styles beaten. Oliveira as an elite bottom BJJ guy and Chandler as an explosive athlete with great defensive grappling and one-shot KO power would have been great notches to his belt.

I would honestly love to see Usman vs adesanya and I think he’d have a chance against him. Izzy isn’t a big middleweight and Usman is a big welterweight. I think if Usman put on some weight to get ready for it and relied heavily on his wrestling then I think he could do it. Not that it would be a sure thing or the most exciting fight, I think Usman would have a chance. I think Izzy is smart enough to know that and there’s not much that would be worse for his legacy than getting best by Usman so why take the risk.
