uHoo Air Quality Sensor Review, Setup, and Unboxing
The uHoo is an air quality monitoring sensor for your smart home that has 9 different sensors in it. It's capable of sensing the temperature, humidity, air pressure, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, VOCs, PM2.5, nitrogen dioxide, and ozone.

In this setup and unboxing video for the uHoo, I show you all of the ins and outs of this smart home device. It takes a little bit of work to get it connected the first time, but after that the device is excellent. The sensors are fantastic and the application is very powerful. I love getting this information each and every day.
Overall, uHoo's Air Quality sensor looks fantastic and it really has a nice look and feel in my living room. Its reminders, notifications, and capability of integration with Alexa and IFTTT make it very powerful as well, not to mention the graphs and the applications native notifications.
Setup was easy and remarkably fun and as soon as the #uhoo #airquality #sensor was set up, it started logging data that I can review by way of the charts and on the fly on the dashboard.
All in all, this product is excellent and I can recommend this if you're looking for it. Its price is a little high, but I think that's to be expected with a device of this quality and function.

Good vid as usual. One suggestion though... An explanation of the device would help before getting into the unboxing and setup. I wasn't 100% sure what the air quality sensor did until you showed the app fully setup.... edit: ... and mention the price... I was VERY surprised when i went to their website. now i see why it's for the kids room.... first child?

You're right there...I didn't explain it really well. I should have done that more during the early parts of the unboxing! Thanks Tristyn. Ahhhh, it's not actually for the kids room. That's just what I did in the video cause I wasn't thinking on my feet, so to speak. :)

Have you had any issues with notifications? I dont get any notifications from the device's app, even with everything turned on.

Hey Mark - It's not a direct connection but you can see an IFTTT connection at the end. I instantly used it to turn on a light to test the capability. Works every time.

ive tried connecting it 10 times and it wont connect to uhoos wifi...ports are unblocked, using 2g...very annoying...working with uhoo customer service but so far no luck

Later on in uHoo's life in my smart home I have found that it has struggled with the wifi connectivity...but never any ports!

Interesting product, but still way too expensive for just a sensor. If it actually did something about it then sure, but arguably this doesn't really "do" much unless it is part of a bigger air purification system.

Yeah, the power lies in the integration with IFTTT right now. I think over time if this gets integrated directly with some other systems, it'll be extremely powerful.

Having a sensor like this what will help in case you have a situation of bad air conditions? take everyone and leave the house??, btw, I notice your wifi SSID is Lizian is that because your wife´s name is Elizabeth and yours is Brian? ergo Lizian? did you even went as far as name one of your kinds Lizian by any chance?
