I almost got addicted to pain pills after I had heart surgery. While in the hospital they had me on Morphine, then Percocet and eventually sent me home with hydrocodone. I took them how I was supposed to. But every morning I’d wake up still in pain and take one, then go sit on my porch and watch the sun rise feeling all euphoric and floaty inside. When I ran out of pills I called my surgeon and told him I was still in pain but I really wasn’t. Thankfully he didn’t prescribe me anymore addicting pain pills. I took that as a sign and didn’t try to get some off the street or anything. I like to think my surgeon saved my life twice. Hope he’s doing well to this day.

Damn straight he did. 20 year ex heroin addict here still rebuilding my life because of being prescribed oxycontin for 2 years legitimately and never abused them in those 2 years, but when the 8 surgeries were over he abruptly cut me off from 40 mgs a day to zero. That was the beginning of a long long road to Hell. What I went through I wouldn't even wish on the 911 terrorists, seriously. I would rather shoot them in the back of the head than to make them go through 2 decades of prolonged torture.

@@evangreenberg1666 Humanity has tried to answer these questions throughout all of it's existence. Nobody found a perfect answer. In Old Testament God has created only Adam and Eve perfect. However, once they were tempted to commit the first sin, they were banished from Paradise and punished to live on Earth where the life is miserable and hurtful. So, human kind wasn't designed to be perfect by any means, at least to our ancestors common belief. Or if it was, then the first humans on Earth screwed it up. I highly recommend you read Jordan B Peterson's 12 Rules to Life - An antidote to chaos as he tries to answer this question throughout the book while bringing in Bible, ancient philosophers, modern philosophers, science and his own thoughts into play. It is all about your inner perception and belief. Hang in there, you're not alone.

I was a stone cold pothead from 12yrs old. It was my identity. My friends did pills. Never fucked with them. Until the day I did. I had oral surgery. They prescribed me Perc 10’s. I got home. Took 2 and a warm, fuzzy, confident, rush of god washed over my entire soul. I literally remember saying in my head: “Well this is what I do now.” That eventually led to dope. Never needles. But still snorting dope for years. Then ice. Been clean off dope for 10 years legit 5 days ago. Still struggle with ice and probably gonna be on suboxone the rest of my life

As a 27 yo heroin addict that feeling of being comfortable in your own skin is too relatable, as much as I don’t want to take any drug every day I don’t ever see myself getting off it, I admire the fact that they both got clean because whenever I’ve tried I feel like I’ve lost my best friend and that empty feeling inside is unbearable. Hats off to them both, glad I came across this video

The “trinity” gave me energy and the Colombian nose candy would put me to sleep after 30 minutes. Somehow I was a functional addict for about 10 years. After I lost my scripts and had to source from the streets things went downhill pretty quick. 3 arrests in 6 months followed by prison time finally got me clean.

@@yungmentalproblems nah I just really connect with them through their music especially scrim because I grew up heavy on the same street they did and I looked up to them and started doing drugs. But now that I’m clean and sober I connect to them instead of getting stuck in my head for letting it out on others. Their music helps me express my anger from drug abuse. Drug abuse ruined my brain forever it feels like bc even seeing or hear about nicotine(even a cig) makes me fiend so bad I get sick until I get that one hit fix. I’m loving their newer music (clean suicide boys) because I’m starting to get clean from like 20 different substances…;/ moral support the only Thing that’s keeping me from relapsing lmao finna gtb don’t wanna burden you. Love these guys. As someone that has struggled with clinical ocd so bad that it’s difficult to leave the house, it gives me great hope that it will get better. I still have trouble accepting this is who I am and feel ashamed when I spiral. Fortunately, for me I didn’t like drugs I have been prescribed enough to get hooked. I do feel alone at times even though I have a strong support from my family. I do hope everyone finds help out there to make it through this thing we call life. Much love to everyone going through something. Don’t quit.

Hearing people openly talk about their struggles is literally one of the only things that gives me any hope left for humanity. It’s very obvious (imo) that capitalism, materialism, and over stimulation are leading us on a downward trajectory as a society. Glad I can stumble on authentic tales of real life struggles to remind me that everyone goes through shit and there’s still some level of humanity left. ✌️
