Just a quick overview of the UP 15 Complete Rifle (UPR15). #boltactionrifle
I was aiming to show a good close up shot of the rifle, action and operation. I did mess up focus a few time so please forgive me. #precisionrifle
I do give you a tip to make the action run better by backing out the screw up top by 1/4 a turn. This does hold the bolt down so if you are hiking or concerned about the bolt lifting by accident when under pressure then you should probably avoid doing this.
Overall its a smooth action with a few deviations from a normal bolt action. The trigger is nice but heavier than I prefer. Hope to upgrade to a lighter pull at some point but honestly 3.5lbs is not a deal breaker considering its crisp and breaks like glass.

Thank you! I plan to do an update but not sure if I will use this channel or another one. Overall it’s been great and very fun. Now that its dialed in I’m easily under 1” 3 shot groups.

@@bryanshaver I'm so impressed that someone is finally making a bolt action AR upper that works on existing lowers instead of proprietary lowers. You did a great job of demonstrating the parts.

The 223 wylde chambering shoots both 223 Remington and 5.56? Problem solved. Id recommend at least an 18” barrel. The 16” looks cool but I can’t hook my chronograph on without taking the hand guard off or buying a shorter one. And the velocity is 2475 with 77gr. Not great. I’ve got an update video at the range I just can’t find time to finish it. Personally I’d go 16” 300bo or 22” in any other caliber if long range is your thing.

Great video, question does the bolt carrier hit the lower receiver when you clear the round when the boat is all the way back?

The bolt goes into the buffer tube about 1.5-2” when you extract the round. I’ve never paid any attention to what you asked so I just looked and yes the lower stops the bolt in rearward travel. I’ve run it pretty rough slamming it into it for around 300 rounds so far and dry fired with snap caps another 100+ and it’s has very very slight marring on both the bolt and lower. You have to really look to see anything. Never noticed that and see 0 concerns considering I’ve cycled it with more force than any other rifle I own. I really need to do an update. I swapped in a 1.5lb trigger and every 3 shot group was 1/2” or slightly less and 5 shot groups were right at .75”. I hardly ever get a chance to take it out so someone with more practice could likely do better. No regrets besides I’d pick a different caliber next go round.
